Why. Why do authors ruin everything with an Epilogue?????
The story was good at the beginning. A pair of twins that didn’t know each other existed. Fine. There’s a family secret involving witchcraft and a curse. Fine. Then there’s the major battle of good and evil. Ok we start to lose it a little here. It ends and things move on. Alright you kinda lost me.
Epilogue happens. Trash. Straight trash.

This is ocean horror.
Residents of an island are stuck during a large storm and confronted with monsters invading their town.
It’s about relationships, folklore, and survival.
Not too bad of a story, interesting characters, but the ending felt rushed and unsatisfying.

This was ok. Very fast. Slightly confusing.
I feel like it’s a good start for a fleshed out novella of at least triple the length.
Essentially the question is, as a parent who finds out their kid is awful, do you do something to stop them?

This one has a good story but so many parts are a little too far fetched. There’s very few likable characters.
This is loosely based on Aladdin.
It’s about 🌶️🌶️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ and requires suspension of limits of the physical body in some of the scenes.
Overall not mad I read it. But am going to move off this series for a minute.

I always hate starting a King book but the middle and end always make me happy that I got through it.
If you like the movie, this ratchets up the gore and violence and psychology of it really high. You hate Annie so much but also understand what Paul is going through and why he makes his decisions.

I have no idea wtf this is about.
Sex, drugs, suicide, teenagers. That’s pretty much it.

This is what it says it is.
Chapter titles are unnecessary.
This reminds me of The Craft with the demonic revenge aspect. I also think the last few chapters could have been left out.
Animal murder. So… 0 stars for that.

Lolita, My Dark Vanessa, even Tampa did it better.
This was all too much. I usually love this author but she just threw in everything all Willy nilly.
Basic story, 3 points of view. Then the raven story. Then the bullying. Then the shoes. Then the 3 different twists that make everything just tie up all too tidy.
It was just too much. Usually I like the stories but maybe it was also because it was about teaching and high school and a lot of that was wrong that I just couldn’t.
That being said I finished it in 2 days lol.
TW: child abuse, alcoholism, blood

Love Simone St. James. She weaves POV character and time shifts like no other.
This is a story about a murdered sister and the thought that the wrong man is incarcerated for it. It’s also about a girl’s boarding school haunted by a ghost of a girl who was killed.
The way the stories weave together is seamless and enjoyable.

I loved this! It’s an adventurous Japanese Jumanji with great settings and twists and turns.
I liked the diverse characters (race, gender, orientation). I liked that each character played a vital role and was pivotal in reaching the final goal.
