Did not finish book. Stopped at 35%.
ughhhhhhhhhh. dnf'd at 43%,  and I usually don't get that far just to drop it. i picked this up because I really wanted cruise ship horror but what I got was a poorly written thriller that required much more suspension of disbelief than i was willing to give. looked up spoilers and finishing it would have annoyed me more but i'm more sad than anything. the opening dedication and what i THOUGHT was the premise was so good! where is the good cruise ship horror?!

the dedication mentions printing and stapling these stories at home, and it still feels very much like a zine - not quite as polished as I was expecting, but experiments with unique ideas and different art styles that I really enjoyed.

I'm really surprised this didn't work more for me - i love so many of the individual elements, ESPECIALLY killer mermaids, but the way it came together just didn't click for me. would still give this author another chance because I enjoyed his writing style.
