I’m actually shocked how much I loved this book. I was so immediately absorbed and entranced by the characters that hardly wanted to stop listening. Elizabeth Zott is such a no nonsense get-it-done type of woman I couldn’t help falling in love with her character. Honestly every character in this book was just wonderful. Even 6:30. I didn’t know I could love the perspective of a dog so much. There’s just so much heart and soul and this book that it hurts me to go on without these characters. The imagery and prose was phenomenal too. One of my top books of the year. What a great way to close 2023.

Loved the plot. Loved the enemies to lovers action that happed. (I hated him to in the beginning and was ready to jump the love interest alone with the FMC). Loved the spice. Loved the drama. But I serious could not stand the personality of the main character. She really irritated me. Even when all the initial drama got cleared up and the love interest clarified his feels, she kept saying he hated her over and over and over. It drove me up the wallll. Also, I understand being vegan and all and caring about animal welfare but sobbing over roadkill you happened to glance at while on a drive? C’monnnn. My least favorite Ali Hazelwood book purely because of the female lead.

It’s a house party murder mystery. Basically Clue but everyone is bisexual. And the main couple bang a bunch in the middle there. I liked it.

Short and sweet and spicy. Pretty geeky at times obviously. I don’t think I would have read all the books back to back if I knew how similar they were but I still enjoy them. It’s not ground breaking smut but it’s a quick fun read to pass time

I reallly liked this book. I especially could relate to Elsie’s people pleasing behaviors and needing to conform for the people around her. Made me wish that I too could have a Jack Smith to see right through my bullshit. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and most all of Ali Hazelwood’s books. My only qualm is the most common of the most common bland-ass names. Jack smith? Sheeeesh. Where’s the flavor? I liked Elsie though

Oh my god. I could not stand to listen to what either character was thinking or their descriptions. Get me out of your heads! This is coming from someone who is a connoisseur of smut. I inhale it. So when I say this is bad. It’s bad. Will is just so agressive and can’t handle anyone even looking at Teresa without getting into an altercation yet pictures his dog having more of a personality than her and her breasts. And then she is just so horny over his agression. Like I like an angsty man but not full on agressive man. And the way she describes how turned on she is is yuuuuck. I had to rip my head phones out and DNF the book when she describes her arousal as “someone wiping a wet washcloth between the vee of my legs from side to side”. No no no no nooooo

DNF because I was realllly struggling. This book is part of a series only every book follows the same formula. Woman is in a precarious position because of her family and must marry, man meets and lusts after woman, they get married for her protection, a little bit of spicy sex, then the rest is a murder mystery of who is trying to kill her. And it would finnnnnne if not every book went this exact same way. Makes it terrible to read as a series. I mean, do what you gotta do to get your bag, Lindsay. I just cannot keep doing this. I’m surprised I made it this far. How anyone can be a Scottish lady in your universe and live is beyond me.
