I loved the FMC, Savannah, and how strong and fierce she was as a person. She truly didn’t need anyone to save her and was fully capable of taking care of herself.
I enjoyed the relationship development and dynamic between Savannah and Nathan and would have liked to learn more about their shared history.
The storyline itself was interesting, full of action without any dull moments.
This was the first book I’ve read from the author, and I can’t wait to read more!

The book was full of mysterious elements and court politics with a tiny amount of romance. It was fast and easy to read, keeping me entertained from beginning to end. I enjoyed the writing style and found the book to be well-written.
The plot was quite predictable, and I personally didn’t like the FMC; she was quite childish at times and cried a lot. However, I still enjoyed reading the book. It was a nice palette cleanser between some heavier and darker books.
The book is YA, and although I occasionally enjoy reading YA fantasy, I probably wasn’t the target audience for this book. But I’m sure a lot of younger readers might really enjoy it (and I probably would have loved this book as a child/teen).

“Welcome to Oddity Carnival & Cirque. May your time here be terrifying, if you make it out alive.”
“This is where I belong, high above the ground, free from the chains of gravity and reality.”
“Little Dolly”
I loved this book! The dark, horror circus vibes, the unhinged characters with difficult and traumatic pasts, and of course, the storyline itself.
I really liked both main characters, the FMC Noir and the MMC Hell. They were both crazy in their own ways, and I loved their chemistry and dynamic. And the spice was really spicing.
There were so many interesting side characters, and I can’t wait to learn more about them! Especially Soul and Wrath.
The storyline itself was interesting and kept me hooked from beginning to end. After I started reading, I literally couldn’t put the book down and devoured it in one sitting.

“How do you defeat a ghost? How do you vanquish thoughts?”
Great second book in a duology, continuing right where the first book ended.
I liked how this book revealed more information about Poppy’s past and what happened between her and Andrew. Poppy’s trauma and grief were well written.
The relationships between the main characters were once again well written and interesting. Harper continued to be great comedic relief while simultaneously being a great friend.
I can’t say much about the plot because I don’t want to spoil anything, but I do recommend reading both the first book in the series and this second one.

“We are one. We are mind, body, and soul. You are mine.”
“My beautiful Savage, my queen of the crazy.”
“One, Two… we are coming for you!”
Both Jasper and Iris were interesting main characters. They were dark, bloodthirsty, and unhinged. Iris was more impulsive and dramatic, reminding me of Harley Quinn, while Jasper was more calculating and level-headed. The bond between them was really strong and deep, and it was clear how much they cared about each other.
Sutton Asylum was an intriguing setting for the story, with many characters I would love to learn more about. For example, Mr. H. seemed like an interesting character, and I can’t wait to learn more about Dex and his story.
Overall, I enjoyed the storyline and the craziness. This was a fast, fun, and spicy read.
This is a dark, taboo romance, so please check the trigger warnings before reading!

Did not finish book. Stopped at 18%.
Unfortunately, this book wasn’t for me. I couldn’t get into the story and was confused about what was going on.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book like this. The world seemed really interesting, and I liked the elemental magic. The world was beautifully written.
The book is told from three points of view: two humans and one horse. The characters were interesting, and I enjoyed the character development.
As a Finnish person, there were some familiar names for me, like the elemental spirits Tellervo and Ilmari.
I’m interested to see where the story goes next.

The idea of the story was really interesting. The FMC, Bria, is Charmed and bears the mark of the fortune goddess. The beginning of the book was great, but unfortunately, the story lost some of its charm in the middle.
The pacing was a bit too fast for my liking, and at times the story felt rushed and the plot a bit confusing. A slower pace with more world and character building would have made this a more enjoyable reading experience.
It's not a bad book by any means, but personally, I would have preferred a bit slower pace and maybe about 50 pages more to allow for better explanations of certain things.
