The best day was when one of my twelfth grade students said, "Wait a minute. You mean this isn't REAL?!?!" This book is a great story and I would love to share it with everyone.

An evening of Florence + the Machine and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"? I think I'm 16 again. This book was fantastic. Catcher in the Rye without me standing in front of a bunch of 15 year olds ruining being angsty by reflecting on it. I think Charlie would say that the dog days are over.

I cried! And cried! And cried! I loved it. Everything else by her is good, but not quite as good.

I am sad to say that I wasn't wild about the ending, but the book itself was such an engaging, compelling read that even the ending was worth it. Little Bee is an incredible character, and the way that she speaks about the Western World; our concepts of merit, value and love; the slippery English language makes for a read which forces you to pause and reflect.

I have taught this play many, many times and loved it every time. Shakespeare is the man.
