first of all- can we take a moment for the sprayed edges of this book? i can't stop looking at them.

second of all- the norse mythology was such a pleasant change of pace for me. the lore in this book is woven in well and the characters are so diverting. freya is *going. through it.* and i am excited to see where her story goes. also, i forgot how fun a golden retriever boy is. bjorn can be my tag-a-long any day. the second book comes out just after my birthday in may of 2025. yall know i've already pre-orded it. bring it on.

this was a cute book with a hot tv baker fmc who calls her brotherโ€™s hot hockey playing bff cupcake. like- can it get sweeter? and their close proximity is forced for the sake of both their images? *sigh*

the spice in this book โœจspices๐ŸŒถ๏ธ my only critique is that I guess I need *more* drama. otherwise, this was a fun little read which really came in clutch to prepare me for a heavy fantasy/romantasy read.

we've got siblings best friend, friends to lovers, slow burn, and she calls him CUPCAKE?

when i tell you this is my favorite romance series i've read in the past year or two or.... whatever... i mean it. i have never loved character's as much as these.

and this last one? fall with me? it ruined my life. it was so good. my heart strings were panging, my feets were kicking, my eyes were weeping.

i read these all originally on my kindle but i ordered my shelf trophies and i'm already counting down the seconds until i'm gonna do a re read and annotate them next year (gotta have a lil distance to make my heart grow fonder, ya know?)

we've got forced proximity, one night stand, and frenemies to lovers. honestly? i didn't even need to know the tropes for this book to intrigue me. the ones that came before did that job easily.

grumpy, rich, plastic surgeon and a hot fill in assistant. what could go wrong? it's an ultimate 'i bet i can fix him' story and i was hanging on tight the whole time.

we've got a slow burn, enemies to lovers, with a lil sprinkle of fake date and forced proximity? say. less.

her favorite jack-o-lantern is apart of the gummy bear orgy series, a series of stand alone romcom books.

these books are like if hallmark movies were spicy in the absolute BEST way. a hill i will die upon. first of all- our fmc is basically a hot and spooky liz taylor. she's also a halloween queen and interior designer so i was immediately on board with her. and her hot new neighbor is her high school crush and he immediately digs her vibe? sign me all the way up.

we've got childhood crush vibes, insta-love/he falls harder, forced proximity, and friends to lovers.

another book making me kick my little feets, and giggle, and blush. we had our hallmark trope of a cute quirky girl, with her cute quirky job throwing a grumpy, rich, business boy for a loop. but then, we got us some not so hallmark spice and i'm here for it. we even got some waterworks for this book.

we've got friends with benefits, grumpy sunshine, best friend's brother/sister's best friend, with a smattering of enemies to lovers. the author's website has 4 more colors listed with this series and i can barely reign in my excitement at the thought.

right off the bat the dedication for this book had me rolling: "for my petty bitches."etc etc

my favorite part of reading this book was the absolute petty jabs at our least favorite boy ryan.

the main characters were all so fun to read and see how their stories evolved. the main conflict kept me on the edge of my seat.

while i did enjoy the spice, i am *not* a girlie that is into calling their partner daddy. not in real life, not in my fictional characters. so that kind of took the wind out of my sails but the story line was good enough for me to still enjoy this book and look past that minor issue lol

we've got an age gap with insta-love, witches and demons, and revenge romance all in one.
