inally, our boy cass gets his chance at love. per usual, the relationships between not only the main characters but the friends and family we meet are so well done. and sunday. i loved her.

this book was a rollercoaster and we got to see everyone again from the series and i'm feeling pretty happy about it.

we've got fake dating, age gap, single mom, an unexpected pregnancy, with some forced proximity sprinkled in. i'm pretty picky when it comes to pregnancy tropes in books but this one hit the mark for me.

the fact that tessa didn't immediately just tell her sister and friends to get f*cked is insane to me.
i would have gotten a new room key and new life so fast.

i gobbled this book UP. kicking my lil feets while eating lil treats on vacation. experiencing cooper and penny's relationship develop from friends with bene's to so much more was a thrilling ride.

"what about the spice?" you ask? reading this book in public with a straight face wasn't easy. thankfully i was on vacation.

and the one note i left on my spreadsheet right when i finished this book: "jesus. the end of that one hurt." so. yeah. lol

we've got forbidden love, a secret relationship, friends to lovers, *and* hockey? don't miss me with all that.

my heart was panging the whole time. brynnlee and deaconโ€™s instant connection and chemistry had me immediately hooked. that and other healthy relationships and a break from toxicity was incredibly refreshing. itโ€™s fun when the main conflicts are because of outside stressors instead of extremely toxic relationships.

and the spice.. spiced. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

weโ€™ve got marriage of convenience, childhood crush, mmc is a hot single dad, *and* hockey? never donโ€™t sign me up.
