i listened to the audiobook and i really enjoyed the perspectives of how feminism and prison abolition are connected. the book has visuals so i'll have to go back to look at those. a necessary read
the second half of the book is definitely better than the first. i think i got more out of dolly's later lessons in life than her earlier ones. i could relate to her in some aspects when she was talking about how things never stay the same, especially with friendships. those anxious/avoidant tendencies were really relatable. i think i would've enjoyed it more if the rest of the book was more like the second half.
