Read this one a couple of times and really enjoy the it. Keeps you guessing right up until Reacher himself understands whats going on. I did find the finale a little rushed and easy for the group but I guess they deserve it after the week and a half they had.

I kept hoping this one would get better and it just hasn't. It is boring and slow and she is so hot and cold and whiney about him.

Quite a fun quick read. The pace is very fast and it's bot quite insta love but very close. The ending seemed a little rushed but the whole book was considerjng the plot. Not bad overall but could have done with a but more depth in the story.

I love a good fake dating trope but this fell pretty flat to me, we didn't get a whole lot of then fake dating it was day one... Then suddenly day 7..  don't expect daily events but like a short recap of what they did, then saying they had hot sex and a bit of feelings, not to jump from the only sex scene to the end of the holiday where the faimly implies they're both madly in love.

Aslan acted insanely irrational about keaton saying she got a job offer, but i could have overlooked it if we got more than 2 pages off a self pity party. We go no insight into Aslan planning his grovelling and they wasn't a whole lot of grovelling at the big reveal.

We spent the whole time listening to Keatons "woe is me" monologue, don't get me wrong we all have it but reading about it in every one of her chapters got boring fast.

Considering this book is only 290 it felt both incredibly long and super short, the jumps between scenes made it feel fast but the pacing was off for me. It seemed to go really slowly until the last 3 chapters, where everything seemed super eushed to finish. Then we got a page of epilogue and then another slightly longer epilogue.

So the premise of the book seemed like such a good idea but the execution was not there. I only got 50 pages in because the story seemed to jump between scenes with no flow.  There has already been a drive by shooting, Rena oulled a gun and now her friend has smuggled her out of her house for a spa day...
There was a scene with Rena and Sante where he went to get her from her mothers house, we saw Sante talking to her mother and Rean screaming at him, then suddenly they were at the car then suddenly they were driving... Absolutely no flow at all, it was very disjointed.
Rena's daring escape from her home with her friend Nikki was bland and fae to quick. Like where was the adrenaline? The sneaking? The escape took all of 3 pages and that included the very random conversation between Rena and Nikki.

Overall it felt disjointed and had zero flow and i just couldn't get into it

FYI this is a slow burn strangers to friends to lovers, he falls first... Definitely nothing like enemies to lovers.

Don't you just hate it when a book is tagged as Enemies to lovers and they're not actual enemies? Like i enjoyed the book but it's very disappointing that there wasn't any enemies to lovers stuff in the book.

That said tha book was fun, a little slow but I loved the dual POVs and Jasoer and his friends are hilarious. Wolf is fun but a bit uptight, which is totally fine. It was nice to see her gradually melt for Jasper, it was super cute.

Jowever it wasn't what i was expecting when diving into the book so now i seriously have to reconsider the other books and the tags theh have.

Well that was a wild ride... Sadly i found it rushed - especially the second half - the plot is actually really good but the majority of thw book is them having sex or talking about sex. We saw a few real scenes which were rushed and suddenly more sex scenes.

Don't get me wrong they're hot and all but i was hoping for more story for the actual storyline. Like them going on dates, them finding out the pregnancy, the day the baby was born... I'd rather have that than all the sex sometimes

I've read a couple books by this author and enjoyed them and this sounded fun.

I didn't get the red flag thing, literally nothing Vic did was red flag to me, Cassie's list at the end was totally bullshit and trivial... How is someone being good looking a red flag? Gabi over hears one phone conversation of Vic with his mum and that means hes mean to his mum? Shit if she heard how i spek to my parents I'd be branded a red flag... But they give as good as they get 🤣

Gabi's whole retoritic that she was broken got old really quick, Vic was completely right guys are dicks that don't want to work for anything. In general i loved thw character but her internal monolywas a little annoying. And the fact that she broke things off with Vic, he respected her choice and then she's heart broken - that really infuriated me. I'm glad she at least admitted that to herself even if she didn't with anyone else.

I loved Vic he's what we all want in a guy 😍

As much as I really wanted to enjoy this one, it was horribly cliche and the first sexy scene with Sebastian, j couldn't focus on anything but Phoebe's inane internal monologue.. it was so cringe worthy that i had to stop
