This book was great. Written in a way that made it easy to read, with an entertaining plot. I loved the characters, though I couldn't sense much chemistry for a majority of the book. Which is where it lost a star. I would still wholeheartedly recommend this book to other romance readers ♡

This book was such a cute YA romance read. I loved the writing and it was a beautiful story. I'm very confused on why this book isn't more popular within the YA book community. I will admit, it did get slightly confusing and the end felt very thrown together, but I'd still recommend to any preteen readers. As somebody older, I think the age of the characters made it harder for me to connect and enjoy the story. That being said, if Malaysian YA rom-com sounds like your vibe, I think you should definitely give it a read.

A good book with accurate social anxiety representation. Loved seeing the MCs grow and slowly fall for each other. However. it felt a bit slow at points and I couldn't fully connect to the characters. But maybe that's just because I listened to the audiobook.

I don't rate poem books, but I loved the mixed selection of well known and unpopular poems and how, even though they were all different themes, they all revolved around feminism. ♡

Since I didn't DNF snd managed to finish it in a day, I don't think this book was quite a 1☆. However, I did find it very slow, with unlikable characters and way too many celebrity references. It felt like the writer was a millennia, trying so hard to mention all the trending people/apps. This made the book incredibly cringe and hard to read. Whilst I might try another book by the author in the future, this one wasn't for me...

(-0.25 for the fact this book was over 400 pages. I love a good romance, but 612 pages is EXCESSIVE.)

I've never been a fan of the way RK writes her heroines (especially female.) She always seems to write them as being feeble, weak virgins who bizarrely subservient to their male love interests. However, I was told not to judge this book to quickly with it being a gay romance and apparently her best book yet.

I was disappointed...

Firstly, the length of this book was ridiculous. Even reading it on my kindle, it seemed to drag. Secondly, all the penis jokes were cringe. That 5-year-old boner scene? Seriously unnecessary. Seriously, giving Rina extreme side eye for that one.

However, the book wasn't ALL bad. Niko and Bran's relationship was fun to read, they had some cute moments together. It's giving boy obsessed hero and sunshine-grumpy tropes. It's just a shame the other aspects of the book ruined it for me.
