I really liked this book, but the second half was too fast paced for what felt realistic - even in a weird underworld that isnā€™t quite real life.
Shang hating Ping for lying about being Mulan, and then immediately being all ā€œMulan, that lady is trying to trick you please remember meā€ Nah too much too soon, let Shang sit with his resentment and let his feelings churn and Shishi talk him through it properly. Itā€™s not a five minute thing.
