β€œYou take me to a place that no one else can. You own me.”

First Impressions
Loving Cara was such an adorable read and I had such fun with this one. I was recommended by a Bookstagram friend, to try out Proby's other Montana themed books and I really had a fun time. If it wasn't for how the third act was done, it probably would have resulted in a higher rating. The story between Josh and Cara was beyond endearing. The ways in which their relationship develops was poignant and full of sweet charm which is what you want to get from a cowboy romance. And this author definitely knows how to write wonderful atmospheric reads. We also see the ways in which this author brings in the plot dealing with the nephew and it was so impactful!

β€œYou destroy me, Cara.” Just like that, I’m thrown. I can only stare up at him as he tries to pull his thoughts together. β€œYou. Destroy. Me.” He swallows hard and cups my face gently in his hands. β€œI love you and respect you so much.”

First Line
The cell phone on my belt vibrates against my hip, and I pull it from my holster, register my dad's name on the called ID and answer.

The Main Protagonists
 The Hero: Josh King
 The Heroine: Cara Donovan

Summary
Josh King is the head of his family in running their family ranch in Montana. He is the leader and the one that makes all the tough decisions. When his nephew arrives on his doorstep, with his mother abandoning him and hating his father, Josh is determined to connect with his nephew and prove to Seth that family takes care of each other. But Seth is struggling in ways that Josh can't help him on. So he hires on the school teacher, for the summer, to help tutor Seth and hope that her soothing nature will be able to connect with Seth. But along the way, Josh and Cara build a connection and chemistry together and Josh wants to prove to Cara what a great team they make together....

Its too much. Its not enough. Its this moment.....It's everything.

What I Loved
So many aspects of the story I fell hard for. The first was how engaging this book was. Both the book itself and the audio narration captivated me from the beginning and I just sped through it because I just didn't want to put it down. Then we have the actual stories in here that we see develop. There are two important plots that will really tug at your reader's heart. The first was the plot dealing with Josh's nephew, Seth. This poor boy, you see how horrible his mother treats him, his father being away fighting war in Afghanistan and battling his only family trying to help him. Josh is so patient with him but determined to connect with him. Cara really adds so much to the table in assisting Seth, and she bonds with this boy who just needs some firm but kind and patient.

" You brought me to your happy place. "
"It seems anywhere you are is my happy place. These days, so I thought the person who makes me happy to my happy place. "

Then we have the actual romance that builds between Josh and Cara. And boy these two...they have such powerful chemistry from the beginning. Proby is always so talented in writing such beautiful connections but this one might take the cake. I just loved how they interacted with each other. They didn't fight their attraction at all, they truly embraced it and it had such a refreshing air about it. And even though there was a grovel needed, it was just right. It wasn't overkill. (which is what I like about older contemporaries, they aren't so focused on the grovel, but the relationship itself) They have so many sweet smexy moments and love the ways they bond with each other and fight for each other in simple small ways but are so impactful to the overall intimacy in the relationship.

My eyes are glued to his lips and I’m mortified to realize that I want him to kiss me.

And not just a sweet thank-you-for-teaching-my-nephew kiss, but a long, slow kiss that lasts forever and I can’t even remember to breathe.

What I Struggled With
The only thing I struggled with was how the third act was handled. Just wasn't a fan in some of the misunderstandings that happened. And the heroine completely running away and especially what it does to Seth, I just didn't care for that aspect of the story at all. I get that Josh hurt her, as he lashes out in a way he doesn't realize he does, but she should have been patient and not run away when things get tough especially with what we see is happening with Seth who is still very vulnerable.

Narration
AMAZING! I can't recommend this narration enough, it was so so good. It really delivered and it sucked me immediately into the story. So much so that I didn't want to do anything else but listen to it.

Overall View
Loving Cara is an impactful romance that will dig deep into your heart. Its a poignant but sweetly sexy in a very endearing way that left me with a soft smile on my face! A TRUE WINNER!

β€œWhat I feel for you is so big, Cara. No more doubts.” He tips my chin up to look me in the eye. β€œYou’re with me because there’s nowhere else I want you to be. Got it?”

Letting you go made me sit back and re-evaluate everything. I asked myself a lotta questions about what I wanted, and all of β€˜em had you in the answer. I realized that I want to be happy, and I need ya here for that to happen. That's what’s changed. Gimme a week, and I’ll make you realize that you belong here with me.” Maisie doesn’t even blink as she listens to my speech,

First Impressions
No Limits is the second book in the "Corrupt Cowboys" and the conclusion to the duo series of Garrett and Maisie. I definitely enjoyed this book much more than I did the first book. It just had more to the romance, their connection and the plot building for the family that I was beyond intrigued by. I also couldn't put this one down, and it definitely had a stronger consuming feel than the first book had. The beginning starts intense but not quite in the way that you expect it to. The romance was brilliantly done in this one, and I just adored the "much couple page time" that we actually got here.

First Line
"So, what do you think of the view?" Kieron steps up behind me and rests his hands on my shoulders.

The Main Protagonists
 The Hero: Garrett
 The Heroine: Maisie

Summary
This book continues three years after the first book "Off Limits" Maisie is living in California, trying to move on from her broken heart as is Garrett. Garrett is busy trying to keep the harm Cora did to their family's ranch from causing fall back onto the ranch and this is where we see healing happen between the Carson Ranch and the "Dirty Souls MC". Cora's being murdered and Maisie is coming back to the ranch, and this time, Garrett is determined to win over his girl, no matter what it takes. Maisie has never been able to move on, Garrett is part of her, and when she returns to him, she doesn't fight what they have. But there are dangers around the corner, and it will take the whole family coming together to protect what they love the most....

What I Loved
WHEW this book was pretty great! Now it wasn't a five star or anything, but it knocked me off my seat and I was totally consumed by it. I think it would have been fine to not have a duology but just have one book since they were only a little over 200 pages. But hey it helps my goodreads challenge so not complaining too much lol

β€œYou know you're crazy? Normal guys find a girl they like, they take her on a few dates, see how things work out. Not you. You break a girl's heart, you leave her suffering for three years, then tell her you want her babies and give her half your assets.” β€œYeah well, normal gets boring real quick,

I really enjoyed seeing Garrett and Maisie truly come together in this one. The angst between them was kept to a minimum and we really get to see them build a relationship together and all the happy couple page time was brilliant. I loved that it wasn't dragged all the way out until the end. That we got to see their "honeymoon" stage. I also appreciated how this author developed the other plot line. I am really intrigued by the brothers and their stories, but man the third act in this story was a bit heartbreaking and I really felt for Cole. I do wish we had received more answers than we did but hopefully that happens in the next upcoming books in the series. I also enjoyed what we see for Maisie and Garrett. That Garrett struggles with what he has to do, but seeing Maisie become his true partner and their reveal of their triples was AWESOME! Loved that for them but its going to be a crazy madhouse for them.

I hate being the man who hurt her, and I hate to think of the time she spent trying to heal herself. But I will be the man who fixes it, and Maisie Wildman will not regret waiting for me.

What I Struggled With
The ending lol this slight cliffhanger wasn't needed. I know why this author wrote it, cause it makes you want to binge into the next two books haha but I don't know how I feel about that ending.

Overall View
No Limits was a superb installment that melted my heart, kept my spirit thrilled and inspired my mind to not want to let go of this story until the end....CAPTIVATING!

β€œI’m here for you. I believe in you. Don’t be held back by history, son. Get out there and write your own.”

First Impressions
Off Limits is the first book in the "Corrupt Cowboys" series and this is also connected to her MC series "Dirty Souls MC" and I do kinda wish I had read these books when they had been released chronologically. You don't need to but I do think with the connection to this MC and many of the books in that series were written first, I do regret not reading those first at least to get more background information, as the MC does play a pretty role of the familial connection here.

Off Limits was quite an interesting vibe to it. If you like the TV show "Yellowstone" this is literally the book vibe of a romance series for it. It definitely had that feeling, even the "brand" being used which I found so fascinating. I was intrigued by the romance that was being written and the family dynamics were so interesting. The brothers have such a bond with each other and at least the character development is 1000% better than anything on Yellowstone and not nearly as depressing.

First Line
"Tell him he's crazy." I look at my brother and wait for him to have my back on this.

The Main Protagonists
 The Hero: Garrett
 The Heroine: Maisie

β€œShe. Is. Off. Fucking. Limits,” I make my point abundantly clear for him. β€œYou, or any of the others, so much as look at her with an intention, and I swear to whatever you believe in, I’ll send you to it’s hell.”

Summary
Garrett is the oldest brother and the one in charge of his family and running the ranch. He has his grandfather's blood in him, and unlike his father who doesn't seem to care to protect it, Garrett is determined to fight for the ranch and those he loves. But when his father gets engaged to a socialite, the last thing that Garrett expects is for the daughter of his father's fiancee to be so intriguing or be the type of woman that he would go for. Maisie is sweet and innocent and with a slight bit of sass for him. And even though they are from different worlds, he starts to see her growth and coming into herself and that is beyond sexy to him, but he has reservations about starting any type of relationship with her.....

What I Loved
Off by Emma Creed is a fascinating story and I was hooked pretty quickly. I recently binged the Yellowstone show, so I definitely saw some similar connections but I also saw how much better written this book is in comparison to the show. And while it wasn't a perfect read for me, I was consumed and I couldn't put it down. The dynamic between Garrett and Maisie was pretty interesting. Garrett is the tough son, the one that constantly makes the tough decisions, and Maisie while a pain at times, also intrigues him and makes him yearn for something more than what his father ever learned to fight for. I really enjoyed this darker themed western, and it definitely had a more western feel to the story which I truly appreciated. THIS is why I love reading cowboys, it wasn't some of that superficial stuff that has become so fake lately. We also get into some interesting interactions and build up of what is happening with the brothers that I was very curious to see play out.

β€œI told you, if I have you, I won’t let you leave,” I warn her again, trying to hold it all together when all I wanna do is give in.

What I Struggled With
So I hated the ending, and I didn't realize this was a duet story so it did throw me off a bit and I didn't like the whole breakup thing at the end especially them being separated for so long. And while I was into the writing, there were some plot holes here and there.

Overall View
Off was a tantalizing, darkly sweet romance that had its poignant and smexy moments that come together in a powerfully told story. Fans of Yellowstone will be BLOWN away!

Maisie Wildman belongs with me, and sitting here in my truck, staring at the photo of the woman who owns my heart, I just decided that when it comes to getting her back, there are no fucking limits.

 My Review--

This was such a disappointing read and I was wanting so much more from it. To be honest I had zero investment after the first half. It just didn't resonate and neither the hero or the heroine really worked for me at all. They both made bad choices and didn't treat each other very good. I don't think this author does well with writing novella's at all, and its very obvious that this one needed to be full length.

First Impressions
All of You is the first book in the "Between Breaths" series and I really had a good solid time with this one. This author has been on my TBR for over a decade, so I am grateful to the Romanceopoly Reading Challenge so that I could get to this series and its also a great way for me to get back to NA as I don't read this sub genre as I would like to. All of You was a really neat story and I really enjoyed it quite a bit. It didn't wow me or anything, but it was poignant and I really enjoyed this pair together. It has a mix of friends to lovers, with unrequited love and a bit of a fling. And these elements actually went great together.

First Line
Love was like a loaded gun.

The Main Protagonists
 The Hero: Bennett
 The Heroine: Avery

Summary
Avery Michaels is studying to be a nurse and isn't looking for anything serious. She is more than content going from man to man in casual relationships. Avery has only seen examples of bad relationships in her life and doesn't see them being worth it and doesn't want to turn into her mother who has had toxic relationship after another. But then she meets her new next door neighbor, who is kind and down to earth and is looking for committment. Even though she isn't looking for anything serious, she can't deny the connection that they have together. Bennett is determined to win Avery's heart, and prove to her that they are worth fighting for...

What I Loved
All of you was a pretty solid NA romance. I really loved the way that this story was developed. Even though casual relationships aren't my favorite trope to read, Christina Lee, handled the growth of it very well. You see why the heroine is the way that she is, and why she is so apprehensive of serious relationships. The hero is a blend of green flag with a bit of a bad boy to be tempting. They have a strong connection to each other. Bennett pines so well after Avery, he doesn't give up on her, even when she hurts him with her avoidance of what they have together. Bennett is a virgin hero, because he is waiting for love and won't settle for less. It does have some charming aspects of friendship to it becoming more serious. Seeing the slow evolvement of trust and openness that these two learn to cultivate together was so poignant at times and was very endearing in its own way.

What I Struggled With
The pacing could have been a bit smoother, there was a couple of plot holes here and there and I do wish there was higher level of engagement of the story.

Overall View
All Of You is a emotional read that is a mix of spicy and sweet with powerful poignant moments to captivate you.

 My Review:

This was a interesting story, it wasn't quite what I expected it to be and I will be honest in that I was a bit disappointed in this story. I know many seemed to really love this one, but I wasn't a fan of the story. The heroine really turned me off and I really had to force myself to read this book at times, because of her character. She is very highly immature and a bit of a spoiled brat at times. I wasn't a fan in how she reacted to certain situations And while I enjoyed the hero at times, he just enables her bad behavior most of the time. The fairytale retelling was really endearing though and fairly close to the tale and I did appreciate that. I just wish that the character development had been better for this one here.

 My Review:

I never did an original review of this one. Although its interesting that I never did. I just want to do a quick recap of my thoughts of a reread I did for this one. So this isn't your average contemporary romance. I would say its a blend of women's fiction and contemporary romance. Its truly an endearing read but has aspects to it that might not work for all readers. I loved re reading this classic story. And recommend doing it in audio if you can. And yes it has a love triangle, but its not a full love triangle, as you can sense who she truly ends up with. And it does give background information on Hardy Cates, and sets up the story "Blue Eyed Devil". And loved seeing a heroine doing a grovel. It was quite refreshing.

β€œLike we were lost, and you pulled your truck over to the side of the road and asked if we needed a ride. We climbed in and never left.” Adam grins against my cheek. β€œI like that. You were made to ride in my passenger seat.”

First Impressions
Unravel Me is the best book of the series and you can't convince me otherwise. What on earth did this author put in this book to make it so good? After the previous two books being more more inner angst, it was so refreshing to have a story that just delivered so much depth and heart. The moment I started reading this book, I knew that I didn't want to let go of it. From their first meet cute (which was beyond adorbs), to their mutual love of animals, sweet friendship turning into more, the endearing courting moments and the tender character vulnerability is what made this book such an impactful story. I am honestly speechless about this one here, and is one of the best reads of the year, hands down!

First Line
"I fucked up."

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Adam Lockwood
The Heroine: Rosie Wells

Summary
Adam Lockwood is one of the most eligible bachelors but unlike some of his friends, he is always searching for love and is the true heart of the group. But he has been constantly hurt by women. While taking his dog, Bear, for a run in the woods, he runs into Rosie, who is taking her own dog on a walk, and they literally run into each other and sparks fly between the two. Rosie and Adam form a tight connection and when they meet up again, they are both willing to fight for their relationship. Even though they both have been hurt, they learn to let go and trust one anothers with truths. But Adam is keeping a secret, that isn't on the surface a big deal, but for Adam, he doesn't want to be another hockey athlete, he wants to matter to someone and is afraid of losing what he has with Rosie, but will Rosie be able to love him and trust when the secrets are revealed and put on the table? Or will Adam lose her forever?

β€œAll I’ve ever wanted is you, Adam. Even the parts you’re scared to share.” She takes my face in her hands, her touch tender and compassionate, just like the way she looks at me. β€œWe have to get comfy with the uncomfy parts of ourselves before we can really know who we are and love that person, before we can let someone else know and love us. I want to know you, but I want you to know you more. Then you can share that person with me. Okay?”

What I Loved
There were so many elements to this story that combined into such an impactful story. Let us start with our characters. So first we have Adam Lockwood. He is one sexy goalie, but he also has vulnerabilities. He is so kind and thoughtful and while he can be a beast in the sheets, he wants love and affection and to matter to someone and not be seen as a checkbook. He is the heart of the friend group Then we have Rosie, who unlike Adam, grew up in foster care and was never chosen first. She created her own family with her son who is a toddler now, she dreams of caring for animals and is determined to fight for a life for her son. She has her own doubts on whether she will have come first for anyone. Adam and Rosie are literally two lost souls fated to be together. They both are kind and emotionally hurt, we see them learn to heal with each other and embrace the beautiful love that they have together. But their journey won't be full of easy roads, they have to learn to unload and trust all their fears and reservations with each other. Their romance is truly magical from the first to last page. The way that these two connect and what they struggle through, literally had my heart breaking, I was sobbing buckets of tears. Just seeing how hurt they are and just wanting to be loved and to truly matter to someone. And I truly enjoyed the minimal inner conflict. While there is some conflict its not too dragged out which I appreciated and seeing all the happy couple page time was a true highlight of the story for me.

β€œHey.” I take her hands in mine, pulling her back to me. β€œWe’ll never be right for everyone, but we’ll be perfect for the right person. And when that person comes along, there is no choice. It just…is. We exist exactly the way we are, with exactly the right people, because there is no other way to be.”

But what especially worked for me was two factors. But really the way that our leads are so pro active in how they are attentive to each other was magnificent. Seeing the way that this heroine was so honest and good to our hero and how she is willing to fight for him and trusts in him when it truly matters that someone stands by his side melted my heart! Seriously....I NEED more heroines written like this. This is how I need my heroines written, even if she had pink hair lol But she is a wonderful partner and mother, so it more than made up for it. Then we have the hero who is so loyal and good to the bone, he is more serious of the group, and a bit of a shy one but knows how to please his girl. (Its always the quiet ones isn't it? LOL) But especially how he is as a co parent to her little boy....from the very beginning, made me literally melt in my reading chair. What really makes this book so impactful is how in tuned these two are for each other, and they complimented each other so well. That is what is so wonderful about this author, she really writes pairing where they really work together.

Now I’m going to give him the happy ending he deserves. Every day, I’m going to choose to respect him. Every day, I’m going to choose to lift him up instead of tear him down. Every day, I’m going to choose to stand by his side. Every day, I’m going to choose to love him. Every damn day, Courtney, I’m going to choose him, and he’s going to choose me back. And that’s our happy ending.”

You find each other, and you get this funny, excited feeling in your stomach the closer you get, the more you learn about them. And then, suddenly, something slides into place, this perfect fit, like you had this space saved just for them. And when they squeeze themselves in, it feels like your puzzle is finally complete.”

First Impressions
The Heiresses Daughter is the third installment in the Bellaire Gardens series. I have really had a fun time with this series. Anne Gracie is such a endearing author to read, and one of the few modern authors releasing books where I can truly get into their works. I was able to physically read this one and also do the audiobook for this one. I am a bit behind on this one, as the publisher did give me the ARC, but as I am reading less of these now, just working through the backlogged of ARC so I can clear out my reading queue on Netgalley. I was impressed with this one though. Just like the previous two books, it had a level of charm and regency enticement that only Anne Gracie truly delivers. I think fans of Julia Quinn, Mary Balogh and Victoria Alexander, will have a blast with this one. It does have a bit of blend of modern with authenticity. While there were some things that felt a bit modernistic, it wasn't enough to turn me off and there is still the tone of historical authenticity that still was being reflected.

First Line
"Don't wiggle around like that child," Nanny said.

The Main Protagonists
 The Hero: Race, Lord Randall
 The Heroine: Clarissa Studley

Summary
The Heiresses Daughter is a story that begins with seeing our young heroine, and an interaction between Clarissa and her father to really set the stage for our heroine. As an adult, Clarissa knows that she does have a familial duty for marriage but she also doesn't want to just settle. She wants true love and a man that will want her and not just her fortune. She starts the season drawing the notice of two men. One is a friend of her guardian and brother in law who has a history of being a rake and she doesn't find herself worthy of him. Then we have her other suitor, who is a veteran and injured from the war but would suit her a bit better in her own expectations. But as Race start to make more of a invested effort for her, she has her own doubts and her own lack of self worth. But Race, is determined to win Clarissa over. But Clarissa is having mixed feelings as she isn't sure of Race's intentions towards her. But as Clarissa learns to trust in Race, she will discover a love worth fighting for.

What I Loved
This was basically seeing the hero fight through the heroine's insecurity issues and it was just delightful. I love seeing a hero that is willing to fight for his girl. Now from the beginning, and this is where its vital to read the prologue, we see why Clarissa has such insecurities. We see how her father treat her and her mother and she grew up in an environment where she was never enough, no matter how hard she tried. So seeing the heroine really work through her issues was very difficult to watch. But in some ways I resonated with her issues. As women, we have all experienced these insecurities and it felt authentic. Now there were times when some of the language being used was a bit more modern than what I prefer, but I know its probably the author or the publishing pushing it due to the culture we live in now. But it wasn't too much, just enough to pacify those more difficult readers. The romance that builds between Race and Clarissa, was quite endearing. The hero did some great pining and he didn't just give up on Clarissa when misunderstandings happened. He was determined to fight for their relationship and there was some fun banter that is implemented into the story as well that added a unique level of charm and wit to the story that only deepened the enjoyment of it.

What I Struggled With
I didn't really understand why the heroine was so doubtful of Race. Yes he had a history, but he was also the best friend of her brother in law, who actually trusted him enough to take care of her so I didn't get why she was so resistant throughout so much of the book. I could understand it in the beginning, and while yes she had insecurities, she really didn't communicate this honestly until the very end and it felt a bit too dragged out.

Narration
Pretty decent narration for a historical. It might not work for everyone, but I found it mostly enjoyable. If you don't want to deal wit the heavy accent, just speed it up. lol

Overall View
I found the Heiresses Daughter to be a satisfying romance that led me on a merry ride of wit, charm and emotion which quickly resonated. A TRULY IMPACTFUL ROMANCE THAT HAD DEPTH!

I like your imprint, an enormous comforting purr that wraps around me

First Impressions
So Primal Mirror is the most recent release in the Psy-Changeling Trinity series by Nalini Singh. This is definitely one of my more anticipated releases for 2024 and I had such a blast with it. I am very glad I was able to get this one read and it definitely was worth the wait. This also showed aspects of the changeling world that we haven't really seen before and I appreciated what the author did in that. The pack that we see, is also a brand new pack and very new and young and still establishing themselves. They are a smaller unit, but finding their own strength and I really valued the context of it. This also had a feeling of a classic changeling romance, there was something so classic about many aspects of this book while still being mindful of the more modern readership that this author has developed. There is still a heavier focus of consent in her books here. I don't mind that, but sometimes having it mentioned so many times in one page gets a bit annoying. But other than that, I found this book so refreshing and the romance was breathtaking. Fans of this world and this author, will have a blast with this one here.

First Line
Remi swore under his breath.

The Main Protagonists
 The Hero: Remi, Alpha Leopard
 The Heroine: Auden Scott

Remi was in this to the end. For Auden. for her cub. And for the whispered promise of a future that clawed at his heart

Summary
The story begins with our hero, Remi, who is the new alpha of this new pack in a very remote forest near some mountains. Their borderland is taken over by a lone Psy woman, a woman that is intriguing but her mind is fractured, but Remi and Auden have a brief moment of intense connection. Now its been months later, and Auden has been pregnated by a associate of her mothers, but Auden is determined to protect her baby no matter the costs. She knows that there is something not right about their plans for her baby, and she is a damaged daughter of a powerful elite family in the Psy world and she will break free and find a place of safety for her daughter. She comes to the remote mountains to escpae and she runs into Remi, who is protective and attentive, but respectful and she starts to build a bond with Remi. Remi is the alpha of his pack and a powerful leopard, who knows that Auden is his mate and that child she is carrying is their cub and they will protect both no matter the cost to themselves and he has his whole pack behind him as cubs always come first. Auden doesn't know what to make of Remi, but she does know that she makes her feel intense emotion, the like of which she never imagined for herself. Their bond grows into something much more intimate and packed with love and strength, but Auden will have to defeat her family and the damage done to her own mind before she can have any sort of happy ending with the man she loves and the daughter she would die for...

He was Remi Denier. Alpha....father....and mate.
he was living a life farm more extraordinary and joyous than could’ve been dreams of by the lonely and grieving boy whose anger had once driven him to race and race in an effort to outrun his pain. There was no more to need to run anywhere.
He was home
in his pack
in her arms

What I Loved
So many aspects to this story that just completely worked for me. The first being, is there is not a book from this author that I don't love and there is something about her writing that will always work for each and every time. I also couldn't get enough of Auden and Remi. But especially REMI.....there was just something about this author, who literally stole my heart from the very beginning. Even though you sense that he has a connection to Auden, he is still wary of her because of her fractured mind. But his leopard is always wanting to fight for Auden just like Remi is wanting to. And the bond that Remi makes with Auden's baby, Liberty, was just beautiful. I couldn't seem to get enough of those sweet moments he bonds with this adorable little baby girl. The romantic relationship between Remi and Auden was just a delight. Now fair warning, that this is a slow burn so it might not be for everyone, but I promise that if you stick with it, it definitely will be worth it because even though the moments that Remi and Auden have aren't many, as due to the circumstances they aren't able to be intimate until after Liberty is born, you also see that emotional connection being built and then once we get to the smexy moments, the intimacy just fully connects with them and it packs such a powerful punch. Even though I am not big on intimate scenes, this one just was worth reading because of how this story was gradually built. I fell so hard for Remi and Auden and they might be one of my favorite couples and also seeing other characters in this pack....I fell so hard for and we got to see KIT!!! And boy is he so grown up and I can't wait for his book. I know it might not be for a while, but it is definitely getting closer to happening and I am so fascinated to see what his contribution will be to this pack.

She smashed into him and he was primal heat in her arms. Remi, my remi. Her mate had a heart bigger than the sun. His love for his pack a vastness no one but a alpha or his mate could understand. He was hers and she would allow him into every corner of her soul

What I Struggled With
The only thing I struggled with at times was the slow burn nature of the romance, as it was REALLY slow burn and it could have not been so dragged out. And the focus on consent was WAY too much. I know this is a newer trend with Singh in this series, and while I don't mind it, the amount of times consent is mentioned got a bit annoying at times which is why this book isn't a five star book. It just was a bit of overkill here.

Narration
Powerful narration and really brought out the character dynamics just right. It also portrayed the emotion and level of intensity of the story that was needed at just the right time to truly build on the connection and suspense in how it was meant to be displayed in audio for the story.

Overall View
Primal Mirror is a gradual built romance that feeds into the heart of the changeling soul, digs deep into the emotion of love and intimacy, it explores the beauty of a parent's love and brings a world to life which is guaranteed to tug at your heartstrings and captivate the senses! TRULY A THRILLING RIDE OF THE SOUL!

She was a storm wind that brought him to his knees, with her violent beauty and endless spirit. She was love, such love. She was a warrior ready to battle for her mate and their child. She was a lover who saw him in masculine beauty. They became one, their hearts and minds forever linked.
