Crank by Ellen Hopkins

I really do love Ellen Hopkins and her writing style. It just flows very well. I haven't done meth but I always imagined this would be a mindset of some addicts. I can get the idea of Bree, having an alter ego that's more daring. It's a raw story.
No Easy Day by Mark Owen, Douglas Frantz, Kevin Maurer

Well, this wasn't the best written book. However, I'm glad it was written. It is interesting and the poor writing wasn't unbearable. I am surprised a Seal would write about a mission, but I was curious. I like military books a lot and love history. As soon as it got added to my library's overdrive I knew I had to read it. I do recommend people to read it.

I did enjoy this. I loved how the war was set up. I also loved how every character felt like a real person. It was gory and Homer did not hold back. I liked this translation better. I tried a different one in the past and this one was more enjoyable.

I absolutely loved this book. This was one of those books for me that was so hyped up I was worried about being let down. Fortunately I was not. It lived up to expectations. This is a rather dark book. It also makes your mind wonder and think about things. I was so excited Bookmarked picked this as a book of the month so I had finally a reason to prioritize reading this.
The only reason this wasn't a 5 star is because the second half of the book was too predictable.

I really enjoyed this. I tried to read this when it was the Our Shared Shelf’s book of the month. I think I was just too stressed out at the time.
Now I had a great off day to listen to this and fully understand and appreciate the language in this book I adored it. It was a little all over the place but wasn’t impossible to keep up.
I really did like it. I just kind of wish there was more body in it.
However, this story needed to be told.

Okay, so it's been a little over 10 years since I read this book.
I honestly don't think it's the worse book ever or the worse written book. It's very simple and a fast read. However, it just doesn't do much for me.
When I originally read it I probably would've gave a 3 star instead of 2. Mostly because I saw the movie first and the book is way better. However, I was never a twihard.
I saw a lot of people were re-reading this book as an adult and thought it would be interesting to do so since I own the books.
There is a lot of problematic things in the book. Yes, both Bella and Edward are immature... but, they are teenagers trying to appeal to teenagers.
Edward is toxic, but I've noticed this is a trope in a lot of romances. Also, Bella not caring about really anything but Edward is common even in real life. It's not exciting but it is what it is.
I thought maybe I'd be enraged or something re-visiting this book. I was mostly just bored. It is problematic, but everybody knows why at this point. 🤷♀️

The Way You Make Me Feel by Maurene Goo

Food. Enemies to Friends. Cute Romance.
This was a fast read very cute contemporary. I liked how Clara and Rose's relationship built. I actually liked Clara and Hamlet together. It's definitely the type of book you want to take to the beach. I find the main character kind of funny.
The cover is stunning as well.

Awkward. Adorable. Cheesy. Predictable. Funny. A little psycho?
It was a fast read. I enjoyed it. It definately lined up with K-Dramas. I really feel like if you haven't watched many of them, you won't really get the best enjoyment.
Desi made a lot of stupid choices, but hey it's fiction. She's very determined.
I didnt think the relationship was healthy, but I adored the relationship she had with her father.

I never read these as a kid and hated the original movie, but I enjoyed the Netflix show so I thought why not give these books a try.
I really did enjoy this. This is a solid start. I'm looking forward to rest of the series.
However, I will say I thought wedding thing was weird.
