This plot was 10/10 I was so ENGAGED throughout the whole book and finished it in less than two days. Thought I had it all figured out and the last 100 pages were just completely insane and I feel like I have to reread it immediately to see what I missed.
The only criticisms I would have is at times the writing felt.. strange idk  but I felt like the language was almost immature at times and that I was quite confused about how the beginning made sense after the plot twist but maybe I just need to reread! Still, I would 100% recommend this to anyone I loved it and I NEED a movie adaptation!!

Everyday I’m amazed at how Tolkien was able to create such a beautiful fantasy world

I genuinely have no words to express how beautifully Madeline Miller characterised Achilles and Patroclus and how she was able to turn their story into something even more devastating and tragic.
The final chapters were so gorgeously written and leaving it with the insinuation that the whole book was Patroclus telling Thetis his memories with Achilles trying to convince her to let him be at peace with him in death...
such a heart wrenching bittersweet ending I genuinely have so many words but I have no words at the same time.
