For the most part this was fine, a bit out of my comfortzone, not my favourite writing, and some sex scenes that I could have done without but, overall, fine.
The ending however made me want to throw it out the window and put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. And I get that it’s very much a personal dislike, and maybe a 1 star rating is kinda petty but I don't care, what came before was not worth the bad mood it left me with.

The pacing didn’t entirely work for me and while I love Alyssa Cole’s romance books, for me, this one could have done without the romance. Aside from that though, this was really good and I’m glad I finally picked it up.

I liked it, but I think it could have been even better with a dual pov.

A bit repetitive due to the structure, but an interesting read. (Should note, I’m Dutch not British, so for me a lot of this was new information, can’t judge if that would be the same for British readers.)
