At the end of the day, there are some questions that have no answers, and then one answer that has no question: love rules the game. Every time. All the time. That's what counts.

Thank you for this beautiful book, James McBride.

There was just something about this book that wouldn't let me stop listening despite having figured it out early on. The Breakdown didn't have a major twist or leave me to pick my jaw up off the floor, but there was enough to leave my head spinning whilst I tried to keep up with Cass.
I prefer Behind Closed Doors, but this one is a nice and easy read/listen if you want to take your mind off the heavy stuff.
