This book starts out VERY slow, you don’t really know what’s going un until the very end. I understand why they put in the last part after the main event, however after they tell us what happens, who does it, and why, I personally could care less how every one lives their lives after the fact. This was a good read with many very intense moments that fascinated me so I’ll give it four stars.

To be completely fair I watched the show before realizing it was based off the book. The book and the show were almost entirely different, so that was weird. I gave it a four stars mostly because I mashed the show and the book together as I was reading it, but I feel that if I were to just read the book I’d be missing out on so much back story and emotion.

This book took me almost a year to finish. It had no suspense, it jumped around between three different time frames and locations, and each storyline was bland. If you’re looking for a book you can’t put down, this isn’t it. I could barely keep it in my hands.

I could see myself reading this book again. It’s adorable, sad, chaotic, intense, and eye-opening all in one. There’s something unexpected at every corner. The ending was a complete surprise in the best possible way. The mindset of the main character alone makes this book a must read.
