Heart of the Mountain by Frankie Love, C.M. Seabrook

Sometimes you read a book and the only reason you finished it was bc it was a super short novella…. What the fuck did I just read 😂 not the part where she said her insta love man (literally said they loved eachother after a week) getting shot and almost dying was the scariest thing to ever happen to her when her sister was literally killed 3 days before they met…. Okay

This series has me BY THE THROAT. I’ve loved Joey’s character in the first two books that were focused on Johnny and Shannon so I was so excited to get to his book. I just care for him so much and seeing him fight the situation he’s been put in and try to change for Aoefa was so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Their love for each other is so raw and real and painful and I felt my chest caving in so many times while reading this. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because the last quarter of the book was a little repetitive but I’m so excited to dive into the 2nd half of their story next.

this was an exciting, sad, and intense end to the series and I loved it. I wanted to see more of an epilogue type situation but other than that it was great!!

I really enjoyed the characters and the writing style of this book immensely. I loved getting to read from several peoples POV across time and space. The twist definitely caught my by surprise as well but I felt like the ending was super rushed and left me feeling unsatisfied.

I’m so fucking in love with all of these characters. This book was a WILD RIDE and I sobbed on more than one occasion. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is bc the first half felt repetitive at times but I truly adore the friendships, love, humor, and care between all of these characters and I cannot wait to continue the series and delve into more of their individual stories!!!

YOURE ACTUALLY FUCKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS CLIFF HANGER. I AM SOBBING AND IMMEDIATELY STARTING THE NEXT BOOK.
I’ll be honest, this book is not perfect. Some of the writing is questionable, repetitive, and cringey. But the story and the characters are so fucking hard to look away from. I found myself wanting to keep reading and needing to know how our characters get through all of this tragedy.

This was cute. Short, sweet, and spicy. Nothing to write home about though.

The beginning was a little slow but once it picked up, it PICKED UP my goodness😳 I did not realize what I was getting into with this one as far as creepy-ness goes! If you like haunted house stories with lots of tension filled eerie moments then I definitely think you would enjoy this one.
