This was cute but definitely not a fave— I kept getting bored and would zone out. So then I kept having to reverse.

I COULD NOT PUT THIS DOWN. I read it in one sitting and stayed up until 1 AM 😭
Emmy Harper is an Academy Award winning screenwriter and daughter of two acting legends. After acting in one disastrous movie at the age of fifteen, Emmy transitioned to writing. When her newest rom-com is in need of a leading lady, Emmy is forced back into the spotlight. Unfortunately, at the leading man turns out to be the same one who ruined her first acting experience—Grayson West. Since their first movie together, Grayson has become a blockbuster action hero.
The movie is set in a small snowy town at an absolutely beautiful inn. Emmy and Grayson still cannot stand each other and it’s evident in their scenes together. When the director finally has enough of their antics, they are forced to work it out or risk ruining the movie everyone has worked so hard on. Due to all the tension between them, Emmy suggests a “one time only”, “let’s get it out of our system” hook up. Which turns out exactly as you would expect 😉
This was not my favorite book of Falon’s, but I still adored every second of it. I would say most of the main character’s issues relies heavily on the miscommunication trope, so beware! The ending felt a bit rushed as well, but I still loved this book a ton nonetheless! Falon’s writing definitely saved this book for me!
Emmy and Grayson have great chemistry and banter which will keep you hooked! They also both are fully fleshed out with real insecurities that make you feel connected to the characters. Emmy struggles with letting people in after the loss of her father, while Grayson struggles with not feeling “good enough” and only being a pretty face.
Also Grayson is from Minnesota which warmed my fellow Minnesotan heart 💕

“Rage can fuel you. But grief gnaws at you slow, a termite nibbling at your soul until you're a whisper of what you used to be.”
I read this as a buddy read and WOW. This book was so heavy, so please proceed with caution and check trigger warnings before reading. The author has the trigger warnings at the beginning as well.
This story is told from the perspective of Salahudin, Noor, and Misbah. Misbah is Salahudin’s mother and these are mainly all from the past! The book does go back and forth in time due to this, but it works really well here!
Salahudin and Noor have gone through so much at such a young age and my heart was hurting for them. This was my first Sabaa Tahir book (I have some of her other books on my shelf!) and the writing was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend picking this one up!

This book is part of an interconnected series, but could technically be read as a standalone. I’d highly recommend reading the first one first though!
Kayla is the drummer for The Lillys— an all girl band about to make it big. Her whole life she’s been told by her parents what to do and who to be, but now she’s finally doing what she wants. Kayla is keeping her two lives separate— that is until a reporter starts digging up things about The Lillys and those around them.
Tyrell is the new bus driver for The Lillys as they embark on a summer of touring. Ty is quiet and sticks to himself, mainly reading on the bus. Kayla feels an instant connection to Ty, and the two immediately become friends. Ty’s past is dug up by the reporter and he considers pulling away. He has a criminal record that derailed his life—although he was falsely accused by a girl from a prominent family.
I enjoyed this one a lot! It was heavy at times (FMC lost a brother), but overall left me feeling giddy! Ty and Kayla have been through a lot and complement each other!
Abby is always making me cry. This was so incredibly cute!
The FMC is a hospice nurse taking care of her grandmother, when a card is mistakenly left on her windshield. The MMC is a maintenance guy at an apartment building, helping his brother out with some projects. When his brother asks him to leave a note in his girlfriend’s car, he mistakenly leaves it on the wrong car. Later leaving a note to apologize. The two continue to exchange notes.
This was one of the cutest things I’ve read in a long time! I’m normally not one to enjoy stories mainly told by email or letter (I’m looking at you Love, Rosie!!!), but this was perfect.
Unfortunately this one was probably my least favorite book by Christina Lauren. I think the concept was so much fun, but the whole book felt so unrealistic. I struggled to stay within the story because of it. I think the whole treasure aspect was a little cheesy.
I loved the second chance romance aspect of this one though and the way Leo was so incredibly in love with Lily all those years *sobs*
“Our souls were tied a long time ago, I think. We’re just finally admitting it to each other.”
I’m so mad I didn’t read this sooner! ALL THE STARS!!!
Win has always been independent to a fault. Born with a limb difference, Win learned how to do things on her own— not wanting to be coddled. When Win meets Bo one Halloween, she feels truly wanted for every part of herself.
Bo has been struggling the last year— battling with cancer and an eventual leg amputation. On top of that, him and his fiancé had a falling out. Bo was all alone, until he bumped into Win…
The two part ways, until Win realizes she’s pregnant. She tracks Bo down and he steps up right away. Offering to have her come stay at the extra room in his house while the baby is young. Win is unsure how to handle this situation with a near stranger, especially one she is falling head over heels in love with.
The love and adoration these two had for each other had me crying. They truly loved every single thing about each other. Bo was a total sweetheart, honoring Win’s wishes and making her feel welcome in his home.
