Without Reservations: The Travels of an Independent Woman by Alice Steinbach
5.0
With most of my travel days behind me, I lived vicariously through the author's stories of leaving home once her children were grown and traveling through Europe, as the title says, without reservations. I enjoyed the stories of spontaneity and discovery; she does a beautiful job of conveying her thoughts as she would observe the world from coffee shop to sidewalk cafe or hotel desk. While reading this book, you'll feel as though you've traveled right alongside her.
What's So Funny?: My Hilarious Life by Jane Scovell, Tim Conway

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. My favorite parts were all the hilarious stories involving Dan and Sophia. Would love to read another book by him in the future containing many more of these stories about his life and times in Chagrin Falls. It was also nice to get glimpses into the personalities of other stars such as Joe Flynn, a.k.a. Captain Binghamton.
The Courage to Survive by Dennis Kucinich

This book really opened my eyes. I had absolutely no idea how much adversity he had to overcome in just the first 22 years of his life. It did leave me with questions at the end: did he ever reunite with the little boy on the cover? What was the reaction of his parents to his life once he left home? Hoping to find those answers in another book.
