I loved the setting of this book, dark academia vibes in a mysterious way. It was beautiful written and I was guessing the entire way through, so many twists and turns. I loved the relationships Emory had forged and especially between her and Baz. The magic system and lore is so interesting and different and the mystery surrounding the legends are fascinating. I'm excited to read the next installment!!

This 100% lived up to my expectations. I've not read a siren/mermaid book in ages but I love the way it was incorporated into this story. There was intrigue, suspense and mystery. I wasn't sure of anyone's true intentions. I loved the found family dynamic and the reluctant friendships, this book was also wonderfully diverse. I devoured it and cannot wait for the next installment of the series!

The illustrations in this book are gorgeous 🥰 I also loved seeing things from Cardan's Pov and enjoyed the extras that happen after the end of the main trilogy. My favourite thing is the joy Cardan has in being a villain, even if it's just a petty villain.

This was an enjoyable romance with a nice change of setting to my usual reads. I did enjoy the characters personalities. The plot was fairly predictable and the spice was good. I was not particularly hooked by the story though I'm interested to try another by the author.

A very enjoyable romantasy! It took me a little while to get into but I really connected to the main character. I did predict a couple plot twists but I really liked the world the background of the different creatures. There are some dark themes explored in this but I think they were done really well. Make sure to check content warnings before reading. The romance was steamy and full of tension and I loved how the FMC took charge of the situation at times. I did cry but I love how that tragedy played out within the rest of the story. I will definitely be reading book 2 especially after that action packed ending!

I loved this! I often find greek retellings to be quite wordy but I really enjoyed the accessible way this was written, like halfway between circe and Percy Jackson. I enjoyed the characters and the witty banter and back and forth between them. Kore went on such a journey and I loved seeing her take control and the way she was powerful in her own right. Hades was swoonworthy and the tension on their relationship was wonderful. I'm excited to read more by Bea!
