“We’d waited long enough.”
As is always the case, I am a sucker for fake dating situations and all I really need is a good relationship to tie it all together. Will and Michael weren’t incredible but they did have good chemistry, and I liked them stumbling around each other romantically. Still, it didn’t really get me all that invested in their romance.

there’s blood on the side of the mountain…it’s turning a new shade of red.
suzanne, please accept my apology for doubting your prowess. but to be fair, you did write mockingjay. but, let’s let bygones be bygones. because the ballad of songbirds and snakes is infinitely richer and more interesting than nearly anything in the original trilogy’s story.
this time we follow coriolanus snow, future president of panel as he walks the tightrope of who he will become and who he wants to be. it’s fascinating to read from such a contradictory complex perspective.

Pretty fun, quick read. However, some the romance felt...maybe no undercooked but under seasoned. There's a lot of "will they, won't they" that quite frankly, comes too early and too frequently to be convincing. However, for the most part the romance works and thank god it does because the plot isn't anything to write home about with the twist being revealed with the first 15% of the book and then being on the back-burner until it's time for the book to wrap up. Sloppy...lazy! Still going to read the next one though, don't get it twisted.
