I could pretend my short review is an intentional juxtaposition of this lengthy novel, but it's not. I'm just kinda not feeling like writing anything very long.

That said -- this was worth all bazillion pages.

The book changes you as much as it changes the characters, if you let it.

My second attempt at Simone St. James. I want to love her stuff as the premise of each book is always delightful. But it’s just so boring? How can you manage to make a ghost story crime haunted boarding school BORING?!

And like I always say, life’s too short for boring books. Sorry Simone, just not for me.

I can’t really say anything that hasn’t already been said. Ugly and wonderful are apt descriptors. I plan to re-read when my own headspace isn’t as…in flux…as it currently is.
