This was my first time reading this book and I loved it. It was spooky, creepy, whimsical, fun and inspiring. I love it so much. Now I want to rewatch the movie and replay the Wii game.

As soon as I saw the title and cover of the book, I knew our relationship would be complicated. I have no interest in anime and manga and highly dislike it. This book was completely inspired by it.

However, it is a Brandon Sanderson book, so I knew it was going to be good. And it was. Can't say it is my favorite book ever, but it was a lovely story with lovely main characters.

I really loved the concept. The plot was extremely interesting, and I kept wanting to read more and more. However, I found the story to be REALLY, and I mean REALLY, slow paced. It takes a long while to get to the action and to discover why both characters were connected. But it was all revealed in a very satisfying way.

The romance aspect was also extremely slow burn but very cute, nonetheless. I'm not a romance fan so this part wasn't really important for me, but I still enjoyed it.

As I said before, the two main characters are really awesome. I loved their arc, especially Painter's. The side characters were cool, too, but not so memorable in my opinion. Except for one of them: Design. Of course, Hoid is also a very fascinating character, but we already knew him from Tress.

There are some Cosmere concepts mentioned throughout the story. As someone who has only read Mistborn, and hasn't read any of the other Cosmere books, I was able to understand everything because Hoid is just really good at explaining. I didn't feel like anything in this book was a spoiler for other Sanderson's books, so you don't need to worry if this is your first Cosmere novel.

The worldbuilding was great as expected from Sanderson. He utilized some cool concepts and ideas that I found very fascinating.

Finally, this book is full of drawings. I'm not a fan of the art style but I can admit that the artist is very skillful and talented, and her drawings made the book feel more alive and an overall great reading experience.

As always, I rate books based on my enjoyment. Almost everything I said about this book in my review is positive, so why is it only 3 stars? Well, like I said previously, I'm not a big fan of anime. Even though the world in this story is fascinating, it isn't my favorite because of all the Japanese and Korean culture influences. I couldn't connect to it 100% and it isn't a story where I would love to spend a lot of time immersed in it.

 Soooo, this book.

In a few words, it was good.

Now, for a more detailed explanation:

I was really invested in the story from the very beginning. The concept of the main character not knowing who he is is really fun and interesting. That was one of my favorite parts – discovering more and more of his old memories and his identity. I really enjoyed that.

Halfway through, the book got a bit boring. I didn't really care for the characters or their world.

The last chapters were great. I started feeling interested in the story again. It got really exciting, and I started feeling love for the characters.

I really loved the ending; it was awesome.

The main character made me cringe several times. His personality is weird, but I felt love for him in the end. I think he's great. I like him.

The concept of being able to purchase dimensions is very cool and amazing, and it could be expanded in the future. I love how the world is influenced by this. There are reality TV shows where people travel to other dimensions, club memberships, etc.

It makes it feel more realistic. It was a nice detail.

The technology is also cool and intriguing.

I particularly loved the art – ABSOLUTELY creative and very, very, VERY funny! I applaud the artist for their wonderful work. It made the book a million times better.

Overall, I'd say this book is good and fun. It's very short and easy to read. I wouldn't say it's one of Sanderson's best works, but it's good and entertaining. A cool concept nicely executed.

Cute little story about a girl who lost her mom, a failing family business and adorable ghosts.

The art is absolutely stunning. The colors are incredible.

I liked the main character and Wendell. He's very cute.

My favorite part what the Ghost Town. It looks so cool. I'd love to live there.

This a story that readers of all ages can and will absolutely enjoy.

A great start to one of my favorite series of all time!

This very short book introduces you to the Baudelaire children, their tragic life, the useless and absurd adults around them and Snicket's witty and funny writing.

I love it.

Lemony is a great narrator and I am in love with his ASOUE world.

So darn cute!

A very wholesome story about Peaches, a cat who wants to become friends with Taro.

Taro reminds me a lot of myself. We're very similar.

I loved the art, it's so beautiful and peaceful. Makes me feel all cozy and relaxed.

The story is very cute and well developed. There's a bit of everything: intrigue, comedy, drama. You name it. The characters are all very lovely. I wish I could be their friend.

It's a very short book perfect for young readers. They will absolutely love it!

The story follows Waffle, Curly, and Sweets. Waffle is bored one day and wishes she had a more adventurous life. All of a sudden, Spudtown is invaded by UFO-nion Rings. Now the trio has to fight together to keep their town safe!

The first thing that caught my eye was the nice, colorful art. Spudtown is a beautiful place to live.

The book is also packed with funny puns. Pay close attention, some of them are hidden in the background.

An overall nice and cute story for very young readers.

Another great read by Jim Butcher!

Harry is back, and this time he's working for Arturo, a super successful porn film producer. The weird thing is, he's convinced that he's cursed because every woman around him keeps dying in the most gruesome and random ways. So now, Harry's stuck hanging out on the set of Arturo's newest movie, pretending to be his assistant, but secretly he's trying to figure out who cursed Arturo and why they did it.

As the story unfolds, we meet some fascinating new characters who add intrigue to the mix. Along the way, we delve into Harry's past, discovering a shocking secret. We also got a glimpse into Murphy's family life which was captivating, providing valuable insight into her character and the reasons behind her demeanor.

Butcher's trademark humor and witty jokes are scattered throughout the book, and I found myself laughing out loud multiple times.

The book maintains an air of mystery and holds our attention with its engaging and mysterious plot. The desire to uncover the mastermind behind the curse kept me hooked.
