This is checking all the boxes. Fae, magic, secrets, hidden identity, and major deceit with twist and turns. This book will leave you needing to know how Tempest will take her revenge and bring everyone to their knees. This book with keep you entranced with all the that the Fae Court has and what also happens behind close doors. Oh and don't forget to enjoy the spice.
Of Monsters Of Kings by Kelly St. Clare

This was a delightfully worded, enchantingly monsterous story. I loved the unique style of the writing with an almost Regency bite to it. Patch is ademnet in her dedication to survive this new change and is artful cunning while also being very tender hearted. This book was so well balanced with intrigue, undiscovered potential of characters, romantically buildup and magical elements both nightmarish and justifiably needed. This is only the beginning of the darkly fantasy that will lead to either the end or the beginning and I am thrilled to she how Patch will unravel her destiny and life within it.
Imagine Sally from the Nightmare before Christmas with all the grace and elegance and monsterous king vying her to be by their thrown to bring the end or to safe it.

Dang it, this FMC and MMC need to get their act together. I feel like it has been a long time since I have read a couple that is truly making me want to through my tablet because two people just can't be honest and admit their feelings. Now don't get me wrong this is good because I am 100 percent invested in this story. This book was full of lots of action with their continued hunt to stop the Shadow Lord. They face trials to see if they are worthy of the Solar scepter. I believe there is to be 5 trials and do wish that the book finished the trial be for ending but it only made it through 3 before the story was over.

Okay so this was advertised as a standalone and it is the 5th book in the world and I feel completely lost as to what is going on. I can't keep up with who is who because sometimes they are call by a first name, a last name or a nickname and it's not just the MMC and FMC. And I feel like the writing style just isn't for me. Someone else said it was purple prose (I had to Googl it) and yes and this that is my issue. Also I just couldn't connect with the characters so sadly this just wasn't for me.

Oh be still my heart with that declaration from the Erik's POV at the very end...The first chapter had me hooked buy the characters. If I am laughing I connect quickly and this delivered but by the last line of this chapter I was thoroughly intrigued. I loved the way Isabel grows into herself and learn her strength, allow it is not physical it is in brevier and cunning. It was a nice change from FMCs always just being an amazing fighter. Oh and the connections between her and Erik despite their current stations they have a lot of the same feelings of worth. This book includes deep deception, character growth, and tender sweet moments. I am not so patiently waiting for more in this world.

Fair warning there is another cliffhanger on this one...this is also a dark fantasy so please read the trigger warning. This book is filled with Elaenor just trying to survive day to day in hopes that one day things will be easier, sadly even when she believes that she is doing what Tobias wants he is unpredictable. The day comes where she is ready to let go only to be forced to keep fighting and despite a change in location she can't help but to feel trapped and treated like a pawn in this world. As I said this is dark fantasy so do no expect a lot of joyful moments for Elaenor is facing demons from all sides. This series has it hooks in me and I captivated in hopes of a HEA coming one day.

If you love the classics but also love PNR with a modern twist well your search is over. I give you Gatsby with a paranormal side. This book was so enjoyable. I loved the modern updates and the PNR it was a great reimagine of the classic oh but also with some delicious spice as well. You just can't go wrong with Rebecca F Kenny, she will draw you in with a great story, get you hooked on the characters and never leaving you wanting in the spice department.

This is sweet, cutesy, and I would say lower stakes. Bria has had good luck all of her life and has been in love with her brother's best friend for most of her life. She for the most part does as she is told with the knowledge that her good luck with help her in the end. When the time comes for her betrothal she relies on fate but with a twist of event and greed things begin to fall apart until she is kidnapped. This story takes you on an adorable adventure of learning to make your own luck and believing in ones self. I loved this and I am hoping for a redemption story from the bother. Also loved the slight morally gray especially right there at the end, you have to read to find out.

If you want a cinnamon roll to only her with touch her and see what happens vibes with magic and a marshmallow center, this is it. She may start out as meek and timid but she has that fire that is just begging to be stoked. Loved the adorable found family moments and the growth of so many of the characters. The secrets and the turns keep you on your toes. The a amazing journey with a dash of spicy sprinkled in too.

OH MY GOSH....that ending...I need more now!!! The next book can not come fast enough. This book has it all, morally gray MMC, age gap, teacher/student, so many freaking secrets, hidden identity. This really is just the tip of the of the dragons tail (wink wink, nudge nudge, there's dragons) with the fae and the magic system and the fantastic world building this series is going to be an amazing adventure. I was highlighting so much with the banter and tension between the MMC and the FMC. I promise you can not go wrong with reading this book.
