The Emma Project by Sonali Dev

The Emma Project is the last and final book in the Rages Series and I had no idea! For one, you don’t have to read the previous books to read this one.

This book centers around Vansh, the youngest Rages sibling. It also ties in Esha’s love story as well. Two for One!

Honestly, this book was everything I was hoping it would be. It had some steamy romance (but not too much). It had some important topics. And it concluded nicely!

Highly recommend this one if you love contemporary romances!

I thought I was in a mooood for this book because I feel like i’m going through a mid-life crisis and thought this book would be relatable. Basically it’s a collection of fictional short stories about women who bare their bad thoughts for the reader to witness. There were a few short stories that were interesting and fun to read but mostly they were a jumble of thoughts. It was too much of a stream of consciousness for me to follow along so I did not finish.

I enjoyed this read like I enjoy all romances I read. I wouldn't say it was the best romance book I've ever read but I definitely read worse. I really enjoyed the family dynamics as was with Bear's family. I though the premise could have been a little better and the two main characters were not as lovable as I would have liked. They could have used more depth.

I would still buy/read this book tho, it was enjoyable!
The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon

The Hookup Plan was a great, no thinking needed romance. I love a good enemies to lovers!

London is a bad ass pediatric surgeon (get itt girl!) and her teenage nemesis, Drew, comes to town and her world gets tipped on its axis. He is in charge of her hospitals survival. Of course, she is immediately drawn to him and him to her. And their romance ensues!

I won't say anymore (no spoilers!) but Farrah Rochon did not disappoint.

Thank you netgalley for the eARC!

First, I’m obsessed with the cover of this book.

Second, I didn’t love it. I didn’t hate it.

The characters lacked depth, I felt like it was very surface level. I wanted to know them more but the story kept getting pulled toward their life as a couple rather than individual qualities.

I was felt like the plot was a bit rushed and repetitive.

I did like theme of life after divorce and that both characters were older than what you typically see in romance novels. It tackled ideas of emotional and verbal domestic violence which I thought was handled nicely throughout the book.

I also really loved the friends! Especially the Savy, Sexy, and Singles club!
