Classic Tessa Bailey. So funny to me that her characters will get busy in any location other than a bed. This one didn't really work for me, but I will be reading the next one anyway so lol.

In every book in this series, all I want to know is WHAT IS HERMES UP TO????

Lovely little cozy fantasy! I enjoyed the cast of characters and all the folktales and history of the fae introduced. Having footnotes scattered throughout was also fun! I know this is not really advertised as a romance, so I wasn't expecting much, but the declaration of feelings was very abrupt and sudden? But, that kind of fits with the characters personalities. I enjoyed their banter and friendship leading up to that though.

Wendell being part brownie is my favorite part. I love his obsession with cleaning and making things cozy lol

A very weird reading experience, but I enjoyed the writing. Someone described it as an anti-coming of age story and that’s about right.

Take it sleazy.

This was so fun to read! Bodyguard having to fake date her celebrity client to protect him as he stays on his parent's ranch? Fun! Going on long walks, riding horses, bonding with family, healing together. It's begging to be a movie.

Both characters also had to deal with some very difficult traumas though, so I would warn for past death of family members being described on page.

My main gripe with this would be how other women were described? Like Hannah's very not like other girls because she's plain and ordinary and not like Jack's exes that are famous or stereotypically feminine/beautiful or had work done. She used the word "Barbie". And that rubbed me the wrong way a bit. I understand Jack liking Hannah's personality because she was real with him and didn't treat him that different because of his fame, but I didn't think it needed to also be because she looked normal. Why couldn't he just also find her pretty because she's her, rather than like her because she ISN'T like your exes? I guess this stood out to me because we're in Hannah's head and she describes how good looking Jack is like every time she sees him. I wish we got the indication that Jack looked at her the same way.

I loved being back in this world! I forgot how brutal some of the characters could be and also some of the creatures described actually sounded like nightmares. Being in the perspective of a fae added some fun to the story as well.  There was less political scheming plot in this one since it mostly takes place away from the courts, so more adventure-y! The relationship between Wren and Oak was interesting to see since they have quite a bit of history and we see flashbacks of their interactions throughout the book. Comparing their childhood interactions with everything that has happened to each of them up to this point makes for some confusing feelings! I was able to predict the end reveal early on, but she really did point you in the direction so I feel like you were supposed to pick up on it?

wren is feral and i can't wait to see her tear oak apart in the next book. also, every time they mention the heart, i kept thinking of moana and the heart of te fiti

I'm not usually a big fan of historical romance, but I really enjoyed this one! What historicals always get right though, is the denial of feelings and yearning. I was a bit worried about the setup and how Viola not revealing her past identity with Gracewood would impact the relationship, BUT it was not the main conflict of the book thankfully. Loved seeing them learn to trust and rely on each other and defend the people they care about. The side characters and family members were fun as well!

So stinking cute! I'm usually not a YA romance reader, but had to give it a go because it was Talia Hibbert and I'm so glad I did! These 17 year olds felt and acted like 17 year olds, which doesn't seem like a big ask but sometimes young adult and new adult genres blur. So, I'm very happy these 2 had such a wholesome and sweet relationship develop. Miss Hibbert just knows how to make me attached to characters, and also they had hilarious back and forth banter so how could I not fall in love.

A roller coaster of stories. Reunion was probably my favorite.
