The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

I actually enjoyed this book, which given it's reviews was a suprise to me, I enjoyed the way she made the best of the hand dealt to her, I liked how stubborn she was at times and I really liked pearl, she sounded fun. I'd reccomend this book to anyone not scared off by old language.

I was impressed by this book and now want to read more of the authors books, I thought the film makers made up the songs, didnt realise the songs were actually in the book, they edited them and added music ofcourse but atleast half the lyrics are included in the book. I laughed so many times while reading this book and would reccomend it to adults and children alike

This book is laugh out loud funny, I read it after watching the show and I'm glad I did it that way round as though I enjoyed the show the book is so much better, its much less involved with the other characters and just focuses on Daph and Simonwho are the best comedic duo ever. Give this book a try, even if historical fiction isn't your thing, its not a long read and all the quotes I read aloud recieved laughs from those who were listening .

I was really not okay with the ending of this book, I like closure, this book did not provide that, I understand why, but that doesnt mean I like it. Other than that though I really enjoyed this book, though I havent experienced any of the struggles peri experienced the author describes it in a way that really makes you feel what she felt, its easy to emphasise with her. I would reccomend this book to anyone who doesn't mind being left hanging at the end of a book.

I was a little hesitant to start this series as I know it is aimed at children/ teens. I am glad I gave it a chance, even as an adult this book is excellent. The storyline is good, the pacing a little faster than I'm used to but it didn’t feel too rushed. I will definitely be continuing with the series.

This book is incredible, can't believe it took me this long to get around to reading it. This is a book that deserves its place amongst the classics. It follows the story of one horse through his life which has many ups and downs, none of them under his control as he is a horse.
This a book I belive anyone should read before getting any pet but especially before owning a horse.

I will admit I wasn't quite sold on the story at the mid point of this book and was worried it wouldnt live up to the hype. Then the last third had me crying, both happy and sad tears, and had me laughing outloud at points. I did guess the conclusion but id have been disappointed if it didn't end like that so I will forgive the predictability.
If you like romance but want a little less cookie cutter this may be the book for you.

I couldnt put this book down. Such a sweet story with characters you become attatched to. Mathew is so sweet and he cares so much about the people who are important to him, this is pretty much just his family until Mayra comes along and turns his whole world upside-down. Mayra adores Matthew even if she doesn't understand some of his behaviours at first, she tries to accommodate his requirements while also pushing him to achieve things which he is capable of. Megan is sweet and it is clear during the few interactions we have with her that she loves her brother. The background friends have a suprising amount of stuff going on and Matthews aunt and uncle are sometimes nice, sometimes inappropriate, overprotective and they baby him. Maya's dad however is amazing. Would reccomend to anyone who would enjoy a young adult romance.

I really struggled to put this book down, I finished it in two sittings. This book follows a young girl who is forced to mature rather quickly when a curse is placed upon her and her brothers. Throughout the story she stuggles with her curse, trying to find a cure and trying not to get in even more trouble. There is alot going on but it is introduced slowly so you arent overwhelmed with all the information at once.

I did not expect this book to grip me as much as it did, there is so much to this book and in my opinion the story within is far better than any retellings I've read. the only bit I did not enjoy was the ending however it had to end the way it did I assume for the next book in the series. I will confirm at some point as I have added the next book to my tbr pile.
