Interesting take

I really enjoyed this take on the king Arthur stories, it is set in the modern era but with charachters from the medieval times, lots of fun, a few laughs. The only thing I would say that is a negative for this book is Sabrina is too unnecessarily crass at times, I have no objection to swearing but the amount of bad language and lewd comments that come out of her mouth is rediculous. Other than that though it is an excellent story. No real desire to read book 2 thiugh, I feel this book ends nicely.

Interesting take

I enjoyed this story, a different take on the good than I am used to. Would have preface a nice solid HEA but I guess it is only the first book in the series.

I loved this story, I actually listened to it on Audible, Stephen Fry narrating it is absolute perfection. I'm pretty new to Greek myths, though I've read several stories that include portrayals of the gods I always knew all these stories were far from the original Greek characters.
I enjoyed the fact that at certain points he would point out that there were different translations and meanings to one story or another.

Love, love, love

This is a series that just gets better and better, Lissa is so sweet and I love how he can accept her for all she is, even if it's all a little crazy.

There is no way I could not love this book, Biffy and Lyall are so sweet and getting to see more of the pack after Lord Maccon leaves is amazing, I really hope we get more from this series of novellas.

Solid book in the series

I enjoyed this book though I have to admit it's my least favourite in the series, not that there is anything wrong with it, simply I like the others better. It adds characters to the story and is an important book to read. I really like Wolf and the Captain (he would like that I called him that)
Very minor spoiler..

I found this book, I usually only read fiction books but chose this to tick a box on a book challenge I was doing and I am so glad I did. You do not have to be particularly untested in the royal family to enjoy this book and you don't need any prior knowledge of the things discussed, the author introduces each new aspect as it becomes relevant to the story, I would highly recommend this book. That being said it is a book I would only read once and therefore can only really give it 4 stars.
Edited to add that I actually listened to this book on Audible it was narrated perfectly, I listened to it on 1.25x speed and finished it in two sessions (one long drive and one quiet evening of housework) it was easy to get through in this format but I can say nothing for how it would read if you were reading it yourself.

I went into this with fairly low expectations, mostly due to the very cheesy "geekarella" title. I was pleasently suprised to find a really good book. Don't get me wrong it is certainly cheesy in places but I wouldn't change any of it. Fans of cinderella retellings (think cinderella story) and people who like a little bit of geeky romance will love this.

I listened to this book on Audible and I do have to warn you that though both voice actors sound great the girl mispronounces a few of the "geeky" words which can be jarring, if I had heard her pronounce 'Dalek' day-leck one more time I'd have cried.
There was also three instances when it repeated a sentence, I assume this was when recording stopped and then the actor would re-record the previous line so their intonation sounded right when they continued, this really should have been edited out.

Short and sweet

Really not much to say about this book other than its pretty much what you would expect. As it isonly a short story you dont have much time to get attatched to the characters but I found Cal and Gregory both charming and adorable. I enjoyed the fact that the characters were a little older than standard romance books (Gregory's in his 30's Cal is in his 40's). I also liked the fact that both natural and coloured hair was appreciated, Gregory's peacock hair is just as swooned over as Cal's natural silver fox vibe.
Cute quick read, would reccommend.
