Minimum Wage Magic by Rachel Aaron

Very cute book, although the protagonist reminds me a lot of the mage in her other series, Nice Dragons Finish Last. I like that this one is from the female point of view, though I was a little surprised she went from revulsion to liking Nik so quickly. But by the end, I really loved the characters, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

This series is awesome. Much more fantasy than romance, but still very cute romantic subplot. This is the type of urban fantasy I really like. Takes place in an alternate Detroit where magic has destroyed the city. The Nice Dragon and the mage are both awesome characters.

Probably one of my favorite books of all-time. I'll wait til I've read the whole series to be sure, but OH MY GAWD I loved this book and read it in ONE DAY. I couldn't stop reading it. I think I read for 8 hours yesterday, when in a normal day I read 1 or 2 max.
When Bryony learns her kingdom isn't the prosperous, happy place she was told, she sets out on her own to set things right. I love a heroine with a heart of gold and the men around her who make her dreams come true. This book gave me ALL. THE. FEELS. My favorite part is men longing for her and she hasn't yet figured out that she likes them back. Such delicious angst!
Please read it so we can squee together!
