This one pushed me on a couple of my trigger points, however, it was a good story, 🌶️🌶️🌶️, and a puzzle in the story all the way till the end.

The book's cover showed up in my feed, and I immediately went in search of the book. After reading the first few lines of the preview, I was hooked.
I chose the audio because I love the narrators, and they did not disappoint.
Chris and Trixie are so adorable in a friends-to-lovers story. Trixie's insecurities were well written, and I appreciated how Chris and those around her responded. The banter was playful and hot, and we cannot forget about Luke Skycocker! Any book that has a Star Wars reference wins! I cannot wait to read the stories for the rest of the family because I love the Kingmans.

I first discovered Julia Jarret in her series The Donnellys of Dogwood Cove, where we are introduced to Willow. Getting her own story in the first of the Vancouver Tridents series, Willow becomes friends with Sadiebecomes friend. While I have always loved baseball, who knew how sexy and caring their fictional counterparts could be?!
Mav and Sadie’s story has it all! Mav is dubbed the bad boy of baseball, while Sadie is a good girl who wants to leave her dirtbag ex in the past. Solving both their problems they begin to fake date which leads to so much more! Julia’s use of complex emotions is felt on every page. Right on the nose, Julia has hit a grand slam with her Vancouver Trident series.
A slow burn filled with spice that you won’t want to miss the ending which feels like a tied game with runners on base at the bottom of the ninth.
