I’M FREE AT LONG LAST!!
I will keep this short and sweet because I don’t want to think about this atrocious novel ever again. It was garbage. Bryce is a horribly selfish, rude, and infuriating FMC and I wish nothing but the worst for her. She made every scene in this novel fucking miserable, and is the primary reason why it took me so long to get through this brick of a book.
The only highlights from this book were: Nesta and Azriel, every scene with Hypaxia and Baxian, the whole scene with Ithan going to the Den, and every scene with the Princes from Hel. That’s it.
I truly hated this book, damn near every moment of it. Nothing made sense, the majority of the characters were either lackluster or just pissed me off, the plot holes were plot holing… All this to say that I will not be reading any new works by SJM after this. She never writes in a direction that I hope for nor do I want to be subjected to anymore “attempts” at broaching very serious topics and themes just for them to be tackled in the most juvenile and abhorrent way possible. I just can’t do it anymore.
