That's a lot of five star reviews. I was not expecting more romance than fantasy from the description, or to have the word cock randomly peppered in here and there. But realistically it's romance with some supernatural elements. Here are some examples of the writing:

"her womb reacted"

"he craved the sound of Rikki's voice, that soft monotone soothed him"

"She relaxed into him, a soft warmth that made him more of a man and less of a killing machine"

"Her eyes were drenched in desire"

And his cock has been heavy and full at least twice.

So, the main character is said to be "high functioning" autistic, which is a problematic term in the first place . Throughout the beginning of the book she keeps mentioning how people are uncomfortable with the way she stares and it took me until 2/3 of the way through the book to realize their uncomfortable with her being autistic. She also keeps asking and telling Lev not to touch her and he keeps doing it anyway, over and over and over, and it's somehow not a problem.

The narrator was good, the audio quality was so so, a little tinny.

I quit with 5 hours left to the audiobook.

and Sea Haven, 8 taking up on the day of Elle's wedding to Jackson.

Maintaining an association with the Drake Sisters through their cousin, Blythe, this group of five damaged women have pledged themselves as sisters and, together, purchased a farm just outside Sea Haven.
Water Bound begins with the youngest of the "sisters", Rikki, an autistic woman barely functioning within society...or outside for that matter. Feehan absorbs you into Rikki's pain and you can't help but love the women who are so tolerant and caring of Rikki and her problems. Makes you want to be a better person yourself.
The action and plotline in this story had me questioning if I had already read this particular novel, but, since I couldn't remember how it ended, I kept on. The surprise ending with more familial attachments has me curious as to who else will pop out of the woodwork in future "installments".

This was a pretty long story, but definitely worth it. Lev is amazing...Ilya's older brother, and so many connections to the Drake sisters. The way he is with Rikki, the total acceptance even with all of her problems being autistic, is just so amazing and lovely. Rikki, despite all lf her issues, is so intelligent and headstrong, and after she finds Lev, she will stand by him no matter what. Great story
