The artwork is nice but that was a pretty uneventful and boring story.

Really annoyed with this book because I was expecting it to be so much better especially for bring praised for depictions of lesbianism but it honestly just reeks of male fantasy

trash.
Yanick Paquette claiming to be a feminist at the begining of this issue, while proceeding to oversexualise every female character present, it made me so uncomfortable and disgusted to see it.
Not to mention that the pannel and story line are messy.
They did dirthy to Diana Prince.

What a major disappointment! Not every Earth One book has been a knock out of the park, but they have all had elements that were cool and worthwhile. This book is garbage. The writing was a muddled mess; never feeling authentic and often coming off as nonsense. The origin does very little to feel fresh, instead it borrows elements from a bunch of Wonder Woman stories before it. Based on the dedications in the front, one would suspect that this book is supposed to be a feminist opus, but it is the total opposite. This is a prime example of two men creating a comic book about what they think is female empowerment and completely having their heads up their asses. What a missed opportunity to have a female team on this book. Or at the very least have it be a team of creators who have interacted with real women in life. This volume can be summed up in one word: terrible.

This was certainly better than the first volume, but that is not saying much. The other Earth One volumes all contain a complete story, even if it is leading to a bigger arc. This book does not. It ends with a "to be concluded" tag and feels incomplete. And the book still suffers from the fact that it feels like the author is writing in a world that he does not truly understand.

I am severely conflicted about whether i enjoyed this book or not. On one hand, the art is just gorgeous and i enjoyed every page of it, while on the other the story felt quite incomplete, disjointed and rushed. I've never read Wonder Woman before so i dont know how big a difference it is from past iterations but the Wonder Woman in this books seemed a little aloof, rebellious and clueless. She does show compassion and humanity when she reaches Earth. The constant bashing of men was annoying to read but i guess that is a part of the story. 120 pages was not enough for this retelling.
