Book 2 in the Elite Seven series was a home run for me. We met the main character, Mason AKA Pride in book 1. He was a bit elusive, always on top of things, and ready to dive head first into drama and problem solve. What I love about these books is that each new book has given us several things.

1. We're given insight into the Elite's secret society. Sure at this point, we know the basics, but between books 1 and 2, there's a clearer picture that's being drawn.

2. We're given insight into each new character. Their backgrounds and different histories are being outlined for us in spectacular fashion.

3. It's not just about the secret society. The romantic part of these books are spot on. They're not only scorching hot, but since each book is written by a different author, we're blessed with their different writing styles and delivery. And this includes those amazing sexy scenes.

Mason's character, much like the main character in book 1, really made me care for him. Because of the events in the prologue, I found myself needing to know more more more. What really surprised me about him, was that at first, he didn't match the Mason (Pride) we met in book 1. We learn through the first quarter of the book exactly why this is the case. This is also a lesson to the reader that what we see is only skin deep, and that each character moving forward will likely have an underlying story line that has led them to where they are, and will influence their actions. With Mason, you know where his loyalties lie. This greatly affects the situation with his romantic interest in the book. Without giving too much away, I will just say that despite it all, the chemistry between Meghan (our female lead) and Mason is through the roof. The unique taboo aspect of their relationship is one that I've truly grown to love.

One thing is for sure: Not everything is what it seems. As we learn more and more about the the society, I think we're going to be in for quite a few more surprises about how things work, why they work certain ways, and what exactly that means for these 7 books sitting in front of us. I'm excited to read what each future author adds to this story.

I loved this book! You couldn’t help but feel for Mason, and Evelyn too. After all of the shit Mason had to go through, all for the sake of a woman seeking revenge regardless of the people she takes out around her. Using and abusing innocent people for her own selfish envy and wrath. Lillian is so sick and twisted you cannot help but despise her. Despite her past, I feel no empathy for her because she is destroying the lives of so many, innocent lives.
Mason...my poor boy (man is more like it). He lives in darkness and sadness. Up until he meets Megan and he finally sees a light in the darkness. A small light that grows and grows until he sees and feels more light than dark. Seeing Mason and Megan’s relationship bloom. Seeing it become a place where they both flourish and feel secure and loved exactly for who they are is a sight to behold.
Megan...she is one heck of a woman. The quiet nerdy girly with dark desires. I love this woman! She is exactly the type of character I can easily fall in love with.
This book mainly made me want to punch it, in the best way possible of course, because it made me feel everything. It took me on dips and turns, made me angry and sad, but also happy.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Second book in this EPIC series!! Although this one had less 'grab me' moments than Lust it still kept me very engaged in the overall mystery of The Elite. Mason had a horrible time during his change into adulthood - responsible for his sister's well being and trying to stay alive when evil was knocking on his door. Just sooo much setup and moments of "oh that's were that connects." I loved Megan especially when she finally really put her big girl panties on. There were so many hints to the other sins in this story that I just know once everything comes to light it is going to be EPIC!! Can't wait to get my hands on Wrath!

This specific video review will be included in the February wrap-up.

Pride is more than the first of the seven deadly sins; it is itself the essence of all sin. —John Scott

After reading Lust, I couldn't wait to read Pride. This series just keeps getting better. There is suspense with everything going on with The Elite. The romance/BDSM relationship between Megan and Mason is incredibly hot. Each character in this book is incredibly well written and developed. I love how they all interact. The retelling of some of the scenes from Lust being told from Pride's point of view. It amazes me that each book in this series is written by a different author. They fit together perfectly. I am loving this series and can't wait to read Wrath!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There isn’t much new to say here, except I really liked Mason and Megan. They’re both multi-dimensional characters. I have a feeling that this series will never churn out a five star for me, but the sex and suspense is good enough to make it never dip below a four. All in all, these books are good reads, even if you don’t remember them forever.
