Ach, miluju tuhle knížku! Subjektivně je za pět, o tom žádná, ale objektivně jí prostě víc než tři dát nemůžu :)

Really nice book. :) Made me laugh a few times. And I love the romance.
I will be buying the rest of this series too. :)

This was one of those books I just stumbled across while looking for something new to read. I'm so glad I did. It was funny, poignant, and suspenseful all at once. It made me want to buy the next two in the series before I had even finished. Definitely deserves five stars.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The main characters Alona and Will are, of course, based from stereotypes, but the author managed to add more facets to their personalities. In particular, I like how Alona is the queen bee because she has worked hard for it, and how she can be pretty manipulative. I also like that Will is not too emo about things, and his gloomy nature is justifiable. His classical music playlist and fascination with Alona's legs help too. I was a bit confused why he's not as adjusted to his condition at his age, though. I kind of expected the romance part, but I liked how they steadily grew into that, with no really cheesy, gag-inducing moments. Alona and Will just became more concerned and protective of each other. But what I like most about the book is the lore surrounding the ghosts, Middleground, the Ouija board, Will's abilities, the whole supernatural element. This book is pretty easy to breeze through, because the plot has a nice pace with some twists.

This book matches it's cover perfectly. ;D
So the book starts off with bitchy perfect queen bee Alona Dare getting killed, by a geek filled bus no less. But instead of moving on, she's a ghost. A very stuck ghost who keeps waking up where she died. Well until she meets outcast goth boy, Will Killian. He can see and hear the dead, and the dead have a lot to say. Will just wants to graduate high school in one piece though while Alona just wants to go to the light already.
Okay to be honest, going in to this book? I thought Alona would really annoy me. And I mean really. She's a shallow bitchy blonde cheerleading co-caption and homecoming queen, dating a jock with her most likely equally shallow clique of friends. Yeah not exactly the kind of girl I would have hung out with in high school! But she was surprisingly likeable and surprisingly fun to read from the perspective of.
Another thing I liked: the duel perspectives! Will and Alona were so totally different. I've read books where different POVs sound exactly the same where you cannot even tell who is who but not here! It was an awesome contrast. They were also awesome together! I loved their banter and how reluctant they were to actually like each other.
And ohhey there actually was a pretty interesting plot line going on here! I was so interested in Will's power and if there was others like him. Also with Alona and her want to actually help the stuck ghosts. (Yay for sequels!)
The only thing that really bothered me about it that I have to bring up is Will's jerk therapist. Why do psychiatrists and the like always have to be the bad guys, the total jerkoffs who get off on their patient's mental illness and what to profit of them? Especially in YA literature. They actually do help troubled people, and not all are dicks.
But other than that, this book is really enjoyable. It's super light and a quick read and there isn't much depth to it. (Which is such a good thing when I've been searching for a ghost book that wasn't sad and emotional!)

When I got this book from the library I also got two other books with it, and I thought this book would be average compared to them, I was so, so wrong. This book went to levels I didn't even know existed! I have started books from the ghosts perspective before and could never finish them, but this one was so well done! Well-written and witty, this book held my attention and made me stay on the edge of my seat! I literally couldn't put this book down and finished it in one day! The characters were so lovable, I was surprised that I actually liked Alona when I first started the book and never stopped liking her throughout. By the end I actually loved Alona and the other characters. The storyline of this book is so unique to what I have been reading recently that I thought it was so incredible, something I have never seen done. This book had everything; romance, comedy, mystery, conflict, cliff-hanger chapters that never allowed me to stop reading. I was so addicted to this book! I was really surprised at how awesome this book turned out and loved every moment! This book is worth a re-read! I can't wait to get my hands on the next one!

Randomly dreamt about this book, which left no significant impact on me 6 years ago when I first read it. In fact, I have completely forgotten about it, but of course I had to reread it after it had inserted itself in my dream. Honestly, no complaints. It was cute!

This book was alot of fun. It was fast and light, but had a interesting plot.
The characters were fun and wittily biting. I particularly liked Will Killian, but I doubt I would have liked him as much if he didn't have snarky popular ghost Alona Dare to bounce off of.
If you're looking for a break from intense gut-wrenching books, something that's good but relaxing and smile-worthy, pick this one up.
