This was good and really fun, just nothing to hit home about really. The last 100 pages were really fun but the first 200 felt really slow. Love the characters tho

Phillipa Soo nails it again. ❤️ Really liked it. A touch too much angst for me, but that's my taste, not the book's problem. Ari has some serious issues, needing therapy and literally any amount of introspection. She's been happily living her dad's dream, including perfecting some toxic masculinity traits like never crying and ignoring basic social problems. I tolerated her. Back to the story: her roommate sends a cousin to the apartment to crash while she is away. He's hot and has expensive tastes, but unless someone knows the right things, they would not suspect he's a famous person in hiding. Weirdly, Jihoon, mainly known as K-pop idol Min, is super well-rounded and emotionally healthy. Story 10/10. Narration 10/10. Angst: 10/please stop.
Tropes and things: Forced proximity, class difference, secret identity, secret relationship, angst for days

i have come to really love lily chu’s writing and enjoy the experience of these audiobooks, but i wasn’t as invested in this romance as i wanted to be - i loved the beginning but didn’t find myself as interested in their story after the reveal of his secret; however, i loved ari’s individual plotline and seeing her navigate an identity that wasn’t defined by her work or by someone else

Liked this romance book-I listened to it as an audiobook, but I wouldnt say it was anything to write home about. I mostly liked the character development that we saw as Ariadne finally recognized that there was more to life than being a lawyer.

This was OK. The Kpop aspect was great, but the entire time I was just wondering if she failed the ethics portion of law school.

I can't tell you if this book was good or bad, because I still can't decide if I liked it. This storyline had so much potential, but I fear the author tried so hard to make this book PG, that the romance go lost. A month long connection that ends in love, over the course of 389 pages, yet I sensed 0 chemistry. I liked the potential and I've read MUCh worse books, but honestly? I was so very bored, I skimmed the last 25% of the book...
