George Takei shares his personal story with us in a graphic novel, an excellent format for endeavoring to get the word out to as many people as possible. He talks about his early life and how he survived the relocation camps setup by the US for the Japanese during WW2. This story brought me near to tears several times. That the governement stole these innocent people's lives, it's really sad. I hope that such happenings never take place again. Everyone should read this story.

This book is a collection of five short horror stories, depicting different people from a very wide range of time periods, social statuses, and general walks of life coming face to face with supernatural horrors. Each of the stories, save for the fifth one, end on such an ambiguous note that the reader has to wonder if the protagonist of each story really encountered something terrible or if it was all in their own heads, which in my opinion makes for the best kind of horror. Engaging the reader by making them really think about what they just read/saw is something only the best stories are capable of.

If I were to gripe about anything in this book, it would be that it was simply far too short and I wanted so much more. I highly, highly recommend that anyone who is a fan of the graphic novel medium and horror stories to pick up this book.

THIS BOOK IS PERFECTION WRITTEN IN 368 PAGES. Amazing. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. This is officially my new favorite book now. It was one of the most heartwarming stories I've ever read. What would we do, and how would be react if we knew the exact day we were going to die? It made me think about my own death and rethink everything in this world. I will never look at life the same again. Also, I liked how the main focus wasn’t about being gay or coming out. Yes there are parts where that’s shown but it’s not the whole story. Absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to read more from Adam Silvera! I wish I could give this book more than five stars.

I've read Wonder last year but I just happened to know yesterday that there is a story from the bully's perspective. It is very rare we get to hear the perspective of a story from the assumed antagonist. And this was one of the most beautiful things I have ever read. It actually shows Julian's personality... not just "that mean kid who bullied Auggie".

Edit: Changed my rating to 3 stars because 5 just didn't seem right
OK I don't really know why I'm giving this book 5 stars even though I felt 2nd hand embarrassement the whole time and didn't like any of the characters. Maybe I'm giving it this rating just for the vibes, I had really good vibes from this book, otherwise it was just a lot of cheesy and cliché moments put together in one book. Belly is one of the most annoying characters I've ever seen, she really thinks the world revolves around her or smth she doesn't deserve all of the love people are giving her tbh (and what is this name anyway, how is she not embarrassed of herself with a name like this), her best friend sucks idk how they're even best friends, Conrad is way too overprotective like she's his girlfriend or something while he's literally going out with Red Sox girl all the time and I hate it (and he's also a big red flag) , Jeremiah is the only character I liked here and Cam is just... idk I just don't like him. Romance books are just not my cup of tea ig. I hate romance books because the mc always ends up breaking the heart of the only character I like (Jeremiah here) and it really makes me mad how she treats him just because she likes someone else *cries in 2nd male lead syndrome*. I've never read a romance book and liked it, it's always full of embarrassement and unrealistic standards for me. But I keep reading romance books anyway, don't ask me why.

Belly is such a bitch. How does she even think. How does she function. How does everybody like her with that overly-dramatic personality!!! Ugh... I want to let all my hate for her out. I have to relax, she really gave me headaches. Everything is okay. You shouldn't be mad. Calm down, it's just a character in a fictional book anyway *inhales* *exhales* I CAN'T STAND HER ANYMORE. THIS MF KEEPS MAKING THE WORST DECISIONS OUT THERE, RUINING THE BEST MOMENTS THEN WHINING ABOUT IT. SHE'S SO SELF-CENTERED, SHE THINKS THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND HER. EVERYTHING IS ABOUT HER AND HER RELATIONSHIPS. SHE'S NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT ANYBODY ELSE'S FEELINGS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE BOOK. GIRL - THE WORLD DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND YOU GO GET A LIFE. SHE'S LITERALLY SO LUCKY WITH HER LIFE BUT KEEPS ACTING LIKE A BABY. YOU CAN'T BE BITCHIER THAN THIS. ALSO, SHE'S JEALOUS FROM HER BEST FRIEND WTF??! THEY'VE NEVER ACTED LIKE BEST FRIENDS IN THE FIRST PLACE THEY WERE ALWAYS JEALOUS FROM EACH OTHER AND GOSSIPING. THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS TOXIC AF. ANYWAYS FCK YOU BELLY. I HATE YOU SM. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

AMAZING!!! This is my new favorite graphic novel. I ended up reading it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I love it! Not only is the cover this vintage and gorgeous, but the story is funny, sweet, and draws relatable parallels to what it's like to be in love. I'll recommend it to everyone that loves the supernatural and dark humor.
