so much happened and none of it was fleshed out.

isolde’s pov is actually insufferable. her being an assassin was not believable at all. her religious brainwashed thoughts were ridiculous.

the only person i felt their actions made sense is tristen. i feel like his character building in book one was so good that it made sense he slept with osolde after she was married. touch and attention starve starved easily falling in love tristen? of course he did that. what i don’t understand is why isolde did that? where is the training? where is the devotion to her god? i get it’s her kink to enjoy the shame but girl how did you survived at this point makes no sense. i think it was supposed to come off as mark being this godlike figure that he’s irresistible but he isn’t. he’s just creepy.

i hate mark and he doesn’t deserve tristens love. hell not even isolde but at-least in her case he chose her. mark kept putting tristen in situations like having lunch with him and his bride or asking tristen to play chess on their WEDDING NIGHT. i don’t get it. at this point i need his pov to humanize him bec i hate him. also his after care sucks. don’t get me started on the whole stalking his current wife since childhood but then having sex with her the moment she legal. flipping weirdo.

isolde is at fault too. isolde and mark were cruel to tristen. they took advantage of his need to please. her asking to was cruel. parading their relationship in front of him knowing.. KNOWING he was in pain. she kept thinking about it and did nothing because she’s in a religious cult and is brainwashed. i personally couldn’t sympathize with her. she had no conviction. the only reason i didn’t dnf is she’s twenty two and young ppl do not make the best decisions.

one last complaint i have is a lot of the times in poly book the mfc doesn’t get a good romance building. in this one i feel like we got it with tristen and isolde for those three weeks. however almost zero with her mark. anyway hopefully the next book is better. i want better for tristen.

mark might take the torch for one of the most terrifying love interests.

i was sucked into this story bec i enjoy tristan’s pov. tbh i would prefer all three books that way. i find marks dynamic with both tristan and isolde scary but so interesting to read.

anyway on to the next

okay i am dnfing this for same reason i decided to read. i know it was a taboo love story that wasn’t for me so i wanted to see what my limit was since i’ve been pushing my self with things like dark rh recently. what i didn’t expect is how callous the father and the bf would be. i thought they would fight the attraction a little but nope. they went for all the way REAL quick. wild… just wild…

i don’t understand why we couldn’t be here for the relationship building but we’re there for the smut .i don’t get why we had meet dex at new york. also dex doesn’t meet darcy until thirty five percent. we spend so much time with characters from previous books or our mcs thinking about them and it’s like why are we not spending time building this relationship since those ppl had their own? basically pacing issue.

the use of many words to describe simple things was annoying. all the characters were in there head too much.

i didn’t care for darcy and max scares me. the only person i was rooting for was dex. i find that in mmf/rh w mm the women are neglected and not in the way most ppl complain about. i enjoy mm v much in poly/rh bec other wise it’s “unrealistic” to me. the neglect come from the mfc getting insta loved while the guys actually get some level of relationship building. usually it bec the guys have a reason or two to avoid each other. in this case dex having issues with his coming out was some form storyline but with darcy she’s amazing so duh was the vibe. it was the same for dex but at least there was something.

anyway i liked them together bec dex does so in that sense it worked.

this was cute v smutty(a bit mch tbh) and most of their issues could’ve been solved earlier if they just talked to each other. i like the fact that they were all strangers. the ex issues were solved really fast which i liked bec i hate when things drag. anyway this was nice change from the mafia stuff i’ve been reading.

he started dating her when she was seventeen and he was twenty three. waited until she was eighteen sleep with her and now it’s part their dirty talk. in the beginning i wanted to ignore it but it’s played up too much.
