This was a pleasant surprise. I thought I wouldn't like this book as much as I did just because of that type of fmc it has but I was mistaken.
I actually love Autumn and how she is and I love the way she meshes with Callum.
I actually liked how this became an accidental pregnancy since it's something I don't read often but I especially liked how Autumn handled it. It never crossed her mind to keep it a secret, in fact the fact that she was pregnant was what made her certain that going back to Callum was the right thing to do, like the universe was telling her that's where she belong.
Callum had a lot on his plate but he has Declan by his side so he wasn't a workaholic. Btw I loved seeing Cleo, Haruaki and Declan so much on page since I already read their books so I already know and it makes this book even more special.

I loved the way Autumn reacted to all the things going her way, from discovering who Callum really was to who her father was and what all that entailed. I just liked the way she viewed life.
Despite how it happened, I love the bond she created with Connor, her personal bodyguard, and I hope I see more of them in the future cos I just don't he is smitten by little Emily. 🥰

This was adorable! Dylan was a bit too judgy about his hot new neighbor but he quickly realized that not everything is as they seem.
I loved Marlow and Waffles. They were such a breath of fresh air and they were chaotic and I loved that for Dylan.
Dylan little girl, Lola, was so sweet too! I loved her and how bright she was.
I loved how dedicated Dylan was to Marlow. He cooks meals for the week for her because he knew she wouldn't remember to eat and when she did , it wouldn't be healthy food. I loved that in the beginning even when he didn't see her in the best light, he still mowed her yard and shoveled the snow for her.

I loved Dylan's mother too. She was so funny but also heartwarming. I loved his brothers too and I can't wait for the next book.

I loved this couple! This was the couple I was looking forward to since we got a glimpse of what Declan & Nikita's interactions were like when she moved in next door. I also love a prickly fmc but that can also annoy me depending on how long she stays that way and I'm happy to say that didn't happen with this story. Cala Riley has been hitting their stride with these latest books imo and I can't wait to read Kado.

Nikita has an excuse for a father and she gets sent to Haruaki to be "kept" and to do with her as he wish so he puts her in the same building as Declan and his job was to keep tabs on her until she could be trusted. Suffice to say the first time Nikita & Declan met, there was a sort of hostile banter. Nikita has a very dark view on men but especially the ones that are supposed to love her so she presents an icy facade to the world but underneath all that, there's a girl to give love but also get love unconditionally.
I loved that about her but also how little by little she melts just a little bit at a time. First was with Emily, Callum & Autumn's daughter, and then with Declan. She had a lot to work through. Her life in Russia left her with very bad views so whenever Declan or someone would say or do something, she almost had to convince herself that they wouldn't harm her in any way. With Declan, she pushed what she thought were his boundaries to see how he would react and depending on it, if she could trust him. I loved how she flourished under everyone's care but especially Declan's.
I loved her and I hope we get glimpses of them later on!

Declan was a gentleman from the very beginning, at least since he married Nikita and it was paramount that he wouldn't do anything to her unless she wanted to. Suffice to say, he had too much patience. 🤭
His wife was trying so hard to get his attention and he just thought she wanted him to have a baby. I loved seeing Nikita going into research mode in order to know how to seduce a man. It was adorable but also a bit maddening when Declan would just disappear because otherwise he wouldn't control himself around her.
I loved that once it was clear to Declan that his wife desired him for him, he went all in and started wooing her. Took her on dates, got to know her more and saw what was underneath her armor and he just fell more in love with the beautiful woman that was his wifey and it was beautiful to see. 🥰

I loved the friendship she formed with the other ladies. Once Nikita was married, she was an O'Brien therefore she was family and the women in the family have each other's backs.
Tristano, Declan's BFF, is one of the highlights in the story. He is so endearing and I loved seeing from others pov's how much he cared about Declan and vice versa. They are bromance goals!

I very much like the turns of events and Nikita taking matters into her own hands. Loved to see it.
We can almost see an end to the overarching theme of the series and I can't wait to see all of it unfold.

Disclaimer: if you like accidental/surprise baby and drama then this might be for you. With that said, read this first and then decide if you want to give it a go. I also read an arc of this book.
I would rate the duet a 4 stars even though I think it shouldn't have been one. I did pick this book right away because I was curious how Noah would react to the cliffhanger in part 1 and how everything would happen.
I didn't like Noah for almost half of this story. Why? Because he came across as a manchild imo, there were just some situations that he was "unacceptable" especially at this point in the story but after that first half I think he redeemed himself for the most part even though I think he didn't grovel enough or in this case Madison forgave him right away but we'll get to that later.

While I was frustrated with Noah at various points in the story, I enjoyed myself reading it but there were some things that weren't ok for me.

Spoiler section:

I'm not sure if I glossed over this or if it simply wasn't explicit enough in the story but i think the 'when' Noah became infertile should have been emphasized because for the most part of the story I was convinced he was just dumb because he had Chris so why not another and that whole thing only came clear to me almost at the end and maybe that was the intent all along but all that did was make me think of Noah as unreasonable and a self centered man.
Also Noah kicked Madison out because she "cheated" on him and she claimed the child was his and she only did that, not because she was telling the truth because how could she? No no, Noah thought she got pregnant from another man and she claimed it was his baby because he was a billionaire and she wanted his money. 🙄 The math just ain't mathing. Wanna know why? Because she never got anything from him, not when they were on good terms/ relationship and not after this separation. Zero. Nilch. Nada. So why he thought she was scamming him is beyond me.
What makes this even worse was the fact that 2 months passed by without him reaching out to her, not once. And he only went after her because he got his new results from the clinic that said he could have children after all. Not because he knew what type of person Madison was which btw was kind of clear that she never wanted something from him to begin with. So the whole thing was very much unnecessary if you ask me. 🤷

I actually loved when he came to Madison to apologize and she didn't give in right away and told him off basically however everything that happened afterwards was all at once and Madison just let it go as if what he did was nothing of importance which I guess compared to what happened, she's right but it wasn't enough for me. He literally abandoned her so she may forget about it but I'm not.
He didn't grovel which he should've and I think that's my biggest issue here. Even if i didn't like him for half of this book, if he groveled I would've enjoy it more and I wouldn't still be salty about it. 😅

I'm very interested in Killian and who he really is. He seems like a really nice guy so I hope there's a story about him. I will read another book by this author but this duet just wasn't for me.

It has been a hot minute since I read a Davidson King book and this was just what i needed today. She always writes such caring and heartwarming characters. Her stories always gives me a burst of happiness whenever i finish one of her books. 🥰

Easton is a widower with two kids and he's a fireman too. 😉
Since his wife died, his life has been his kids and no one ever sparked his interest. One day he gets a call from his son's doctor and his life changes forever and I dare say for the best.
He discovers his son has Evan's syndrome which is essentially an autoimmune disease. It was hard reading about it when I know the author went through this with her son too and I love that she dedicated this book to her son who went through the ringer. Shoutout to you Jack, you rock!

Finch is a fae living in the human world and he chose to be a nurse because while his power has two sides, he favors the good one and he chose to help others with it.
I loved everything about him but especially how he was with Milo, Easton's son, since the first time they met. Finch has such a good heart and I love that he was so selfless with himself  and was always there when Milo needed him.
Obviously Easton couldn't help but fall in love with him whenever he saw Finch & Milo interact with each other. There was a twist about Easton that I really liked too. 🤐
I loved Easton & Finch together and I loved their unwavering love in face of what they had ahead.
Tru, Easton's daughter, was also a great kid. I loved everything about her too.

The last page of this book brought a tear of joy to my eye. Davidson tied this story very nicely and I loved it.
This story had no conflict between the couple whatsoever which I loved too and I loved what happened towards the end.
I oddly loved the other side characters too. I know this is a standalone but i argue that Miss King should make this a series cos I'm very interested in Finch's brothers. They have great potential. 👀

I can't wait for this author next release!

Damn, this was hawt!! Kristen was all in with all the spice and I'm not mad about it. 🤭
I really liked this story however I wanted something 'more' for Orion. I don't exactly know what... Maybe a conversation between him and Ivy, his sister, would've been it, I'm not sure. I also would have loved to be apart of Orion's & Smith's convo before Orion came back at the end.
I really like where these two took us and where this story went. A crap situation turned into an explosive and emotional relationship where Orion & Dakota felt right but others said it was wrong.
I loved going along with them and seeing Orion melt a bit compared to what I knew of him from the previous book.

Dakota change through the story was great. I like seeing her coming to terms to this dynamic she found herself in with Orion but also seeing be brave and go into the lion's den because others deserve help and she could help the Knights in bringing the whole thing down and Orion wasn't about to stop her from doing it.
She was a bad*** in her own right and I loved her.

Malone is next and I am intrigued for sure. Can't wait!
