HEA: HEA
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: a few open-door spicy scenes
TWs: cheating, death of parents (recounted), depression, parental abandonment
Kinky Content: “eyes on me”, fingering, oral, “teach me”
standalone: book 1 of The Aster Springs series
final thoughts: I LOVE THIS GRUMPY COWBOY HOCKEY PLAYER!!! He just wants to love and be loved and can’t figure out how to do either. Chord and Violet have a slowburn romance full of longing looks and forced proximity that had me yelling at my pages for them to just TALK! But the burn was worth it for all the sweet and spicy we eventually get. I can’t wait for more in this series.
At times I felt like I was supposed to have already known some of these characters so I’m not sure if there is a crossover with another series, but it didn’t affect my reading experience

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: HEA
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: slight OW/OM drama
Kinky Content: 69, dirty talk, edging, fingering, food play (frosting), hair pulling, irrumatio, manhandling, marking, nipple play, oral, praise, queening, shower sex, slight somnophilia, spanking, spit as lube
standalone: book 3 of The Meant For series
final thoughts: while I wouldn’t consider this a hockey (or even sports) romance, I really enjoyed this book and I’m glad I thought it was a hockey romance so I could give it a shot!
High angst at points, high heat, and very very high “my wife” content 😍😍 I loved the way this CEO playboy was an absolute goner and was willing to do any and everything for his girl. I love how possessive they were of each other even when it was just the beginning of their marriage and trying to figure out their next steps.
Nash hung on every word Zoey said and watched everything she did. I love an MMC who is obsessed with the FMC and spends every minute letting her know.
I’ll definitely be checking out more of this series!

HEA: HFN
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: a few open-door spicy scenes
TWs: cheating, death of a parent (cancer- recounted), drugging, hearing loss (side character), parental abandonment, sexual harassment (female to male- from strangers and coworkers), stalking
Kinky Content: car sex, fingering, manhandling, oral, spanking
standalone: book 2 of The Holland Brothers series
final thoughts: I love the Holland brothers and can’t wait for the rest of this series!
I loved London and Brogan’s story, all the twists, and all the laughs. I loved the reluctant pen pals and the banter. I loved the way he’s protective of his brothers and they’re protective of him.
Their meet-cute was so funny and I loved seeing them fall for each other during their POVs.
There was almost nothing about this book I didn’t like. The pacing was great, the story was interesting, the world building was easy to follow, and I loved the ASL representation. I can’t wait for Archer’s story next!

HEA: HEA
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: bullying, cancer, cheating, divorce, toxic family dynamics
Kinky Content: anal play, dirty talk, exhibitionism (implied), fingering, masturbation, oral, orgasm denial, praise, public sex
standalone: book 2 of The Happily Ever Mishaps series
final thoughts: I love when a man turns into a poet when he’s in love and this book delivered. the sappiest sap to ever sap is my favorite when you get to the MMC’s POV chapters.
The MCs had great character growth, the side characters were dynamic, and there’s great set up for the next story. I liked seeing the characters from The Ex-cavenger Hunt, though they weren’t prominent characters. This book followed similar pacing and spice level as the first book and I look forward to the rest of this series.

HEA: HEA
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: a few open-door spicy scenes
TWs: Crohn’s (side character), death of a parent, eczema, PTSD (war injury)
Kinky Content: dirty talk, finger licking good, fingering, oral
standalone: book 2 of The Farm 2 Forking series
final thoughts: Butter You Up has the same easy writing style as other Liz Alden books with a plot that moves at a good pace and didn’t disappoint! I loved the side characters in this story and the silly aspects like the town names and rogue animals.
This is definitely lower spice than other Alden books, but still steamy!
Is there anything swoonier than a tall, grumpy loner who is a secret softie who loves his dog, his best friend, and his employees? Molly was sweet, bubbly, and exactly what Alex needed to come out of his shell and face his past.

HEA: HFN
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: none that I noticed!
Kinky Content: anal, frotting, grinding, oral, slight somnophilia
standalone: book 7 of The Franklin U 2 series
final thoughts: this was such an interesting take on fake dating! The drama and tension building up of “what is real” was so good and had me on the edge of my seat to see how it would play out.
I love Amos being a broody/emo barista and using witty/cutting humor to hide the fact that he’s falling for the golden retriever, popular playboy. Chase used any opportunity to be in Amos’s presence and touching him anyway he could, all while using the TV show as the excuse to cuddle up close and Amos used the same excuse to let Chase into his space. It was adorable but MESSY and I loved seeing them untangle the web of acting

TWs: anxiety, career injury, cheating, manipulation, slight OM/OW drama, parental neglect, PTSD
Kinky Content: 69, dirty talk, "eyes on me", fingering, “one more”, oral, pierced peen, praise, public sex, queening, squirting
standalone: book 2 of The Seattle Scorpions series
final thoughts: I love when books start with a playlist! It gives a feel for the characters right off the bat
I loved this book but now need to go back and read book 1 to get to know those characters more because the whole group was so fun to read about! I cannot wait for the rest of this series!
I love the hard shell of Zack with the tattoos, piercings, and gruff with the gooey center of being gone for his girl.
The cover was so cute and (my favorite) had a surprising amount of spice inside with some great spicy content.’

HEA: HEA
POV: dual 3rd person POV
spice: a few open-door spicy scenes
TWs: assault, bullying, Catholic guilt, cheating, classism, homophobia, house fire with missing child (non-fatal), mentions of fire firefighter jobs (car accidents, fires, etc. non-descriptive), manipulation, misogyny, work injury
Kinky Content: blindfolds, finger licking good, fingering, oral, orgasm denial, queening
standalone: book 1 of The First Responders series
final thoughts: this starts with a meet-cute between a book-loving professor and a cinnamon roll golden retriever firefighter who can’t stop thinking about each other. There were funny antics, sweet gestures, spicy scenes, and great side characters.
I loved seeing their relationship evolve with the fake dating and the age differences. Sean was such a sweet MMC and was a communication king which I loved! He kept pushing Eva to communicate, stand up for herself, and accept love into her life.
I’m excited to read the rest of this series!

TWs: anger management, anxiety, child abuse (recounted), death, divorce, orphaned child, spousal abuse (recounted), therapy
standalone: book 2 of The Best Men series
final thoughts: this book was a super angsty read that had such sweet moments with a secret cinnamon roll MMC who is beyond broken and finally gets the help he needs. Please note that the triggers are major plot points in this book and are consistent throughout the entire story.
I love a grumpy/sunshine slowburn but I was hoping for a bigger burn with all the tension laid out in this story! Still a great read and I look forward to reading more about the rest of the team and hopefully seeing Mira as a side character in other stories!

standalone: book 2 of Cowboys of Night Hawk series
final thoughts: dirty truth or dare, broken MCs, and banter make this story un-put-downable. I love a reformed bad boy who falls hat-over-boots for the one girl who doesn’t fall at his feet.
I really wish there were more rope/BDSM scenes but what we got was great.
I loved seeing the evolution of the relationship of not only Kade and Presley but also Kade and his family members.
I love the way Kade worships Presley and encourages her to learn to love herself.
I love the way Presley trusts Kade and encourages him to become the man he wants to be.
