i waited too long for the conflict to happen but okay the angst kinda make it better i guess? love vee my girl you're beautiful and confident and smart <3 golden retriever book bf is my fav so zee love you as well, but that 56 chapters... could be less...
is having a rockstar bf a good idea? probably not. do i want one though? yes. y e s. only when he's a grumpy tattooed who wrote all his songs for you and hates kids until it's his, but yes please.
first of all, and i will never shut up about it, HE CALLED HER 'DOVE' ??? BECAUSE SHE BROUGHT HIM PEACE ???
second of all, chloe didn't call him 'prison break' for nothing. i couldn't stop imagining wentworth miller since then and it makes me swoon. even. harder.
ok last it is confirmed that books with grumpy heroes who loves babies are ten times better !!!! DROP EVERYTHING AND READ THIS NOW.
what a unique story! ballet romance is new to me and i'm amazed at how the author takes us into the world of real world of ballet with all its unflattering side especially inequities in treating women. the ending of the book is just what i needed, it's perfect and heather is a certified queen both in ballet and in general. the characters interact so naturally with one another and very supportive, i'm talking about you, carly!! she's the best friend everyone wants and her support for heather is what we all need in life.
loving the forbidden romance trope but it's unfortunate that this is written in third person pov, i would love to know what's on heather and marcus' minds! especially during the camping with koala bear scene and all the sneaky scenes.
thank you netgalley for the arc, all opinions are my own ♡
i've always enjoyed whatever this trope is—when one of them think the other despises them but it's the opposite (is it enemies?), and bower boys' second chance romance always got me swooning, so it's no surprise that i loved this book.
i don't think i could love another bower boys more than i love lennon; he's the lovable jokester who can easily makes people in love with him (except maggie, apparently). but let's talk about our red-haired girl! maggie is a bit different from the other two heroines from the series, which i found out later that it was the author's intention of writing her character. she's more complex and more outspoken, but that's what makes her relatable and i love her even more for that. if delilah is the "i have something bad to say" person in their friendship, maggie is the "i'll say it for you" friend.
lennonmaggie's banters are hilarious and felt so alive. they're just so full of love for one another. i love their honesty, the way the communicate everything even the hurt ones just to make sure nothing is missed and everything is talked through. and as always, the love and protective moments from the boys and mommy bower always warms my heart!
everything about this book seems just fine until out of nowhere charlie is there to comfort pip ?? it's always the one who came out of nowhere. but nevertheless, what the hell ! pip you're great, i know you are, but listen to me and stop cs you're giving me anxiety !
i love the fact that i can swoon over a fictional men who my mom would approve if he was real. i love that us muslim girls get a right representation because yes, we do think about guys; holding his hands, hugging him when he's sad even though we know we can't. i love how passionate zayneb is with all the things she did for justice. i love respectful adam is despite the fact that he wants zayneb so bad, and you don't understand how happy i am when adam said he's praying fajr outside (giggling and kicking my feet cs the other fictional men i know would never).
i love how zayneb is 'water' to adam because that's what she is; she's what made adam whole and being near her brings him life. ♡
