probably more of a 4.5 star but nonetheless, just so fun! i loved getting back to this universe and apollo is a great main character. i laughed out loud too much to be reading a book for children. (again probably going to give all of these a 5 star rating for entertainment and nostalgia reasons.)

i will eat up absolutely anything to do with cardan, jude, or jurdan. so i loved this.

this title is apt because this whole book felt RUSHed. i felt like there were too many small details, on like what she was wearing and how she was eating her cereal and it took me out of the story at times. i also needed more groveling at multiple times throughout the book. overall, it wasn't bad, just not for me!

so i didn't hate this! no, actually there were many parts that i actually found really interesting. like i enjoyed seeing which characters fit with the gender swap and which ones seemed like they had the most change. i also liked noticing the little parts of dialogue that changed. beau's narration was really interesting and a lot of things made sense from his pov that i didn't like in bella's.

the main reason for the low rating is because i just read twilight and midnight sun, so this was really boring to me at times. i basically just read the exact same story 3 times this month. also, some parts felt forced/awkward to me after the gender swap. i felt like more could have been changed to make the story more fitting these characters and less similar to twilight.

finally, the ending. i totally understand how this is a way that twilight could have gone and it was actually really interesting to see it play out this way. but it was so upsetting to me. especially with how things were left with charlie. i just couldn't get over it.

okay, it wasn't bad. i actually kind of enjoyed it. i just thought it was sort of pointless. like there are so many other side characters that i would have rather heard from. i just didn't care enough for her character or storyline to really give it a high rating, even if it wasn't bad.

i thought this was super interesting! getting events from edward's perspective puts a whole new light on things. especially since you get almost everyone else's thoughts as well besides bella's. there are also so many new scenes and events that weren't in twilight that it made it almost a whole new book. my main issue was just the length. for what reason did this book need to be so long? no seriously, edward's thoughts were painful at times, like bro give it a rest.

this one takes the cake. i was surprised that it didn't feel super long to me even though it is the longest book of the series. i got bored of the other ones but i really enjoyed this one. all the characters stopped annoying me and i liked jacob again! it was also interesting to get some chapters from his pov.

stephenie meyer said this will no longer be a love triangle because i will make jacob so unlikeable that you can't be on his team. no but for real, i love jacob in new moon but his character just gets ruined in this book. he is so unbelievably manipulative to bella and knows it (yet doesn't feel any shame about it). both of their kisses made me want to cry because on one he just forces himself onto her and the other he threatens to get himself killed. that was my main takeaway from this book tbh. still 4 stars, but just for nostalgic reasons!

i still really enjoy rereading these but this one just felt a little long to me. maybe it's just because i know the story so well. but multiple times i kept thinking, how much longer until we get going? i also feel as though edward should have done a bit more groveling but whatever. bella and jacob's friendship is so intense in the books as well, it hurts a bit more...

saw a scene of this book on tiktok and literally started and finished it in one sitting. it wasn't amazing, but i also really enjoyed it for some reason.
