The Soultrapper by Stanislava Buevich

This was a new take on the classic AI gone rouge but even though this is the case this was a refreshing take on it which is great for the younger readers. This is the first book I can say that I would recommend to my younger family members of about 10+ that I know that they would understand and enjoy. We follow our two main characters who get access to a game and we follow them as they explore this. I love the characters and how they interact with each other and the environment that they are in. The writer has a way with language which is accessible to both the young adult and also the adult age ranges, I can't wait to see what else the author writes.
The Guests by Charlotte Stevenson

This was such an enjoyable read - I loved that this was multi-perspective and that we initially start with Tamsin & her Daughter. Then as the story evolves we get the added perspectives of Tamsin's sister Hetty and Tamsin's mum Arabella. This story was initially I think about Tamsin's mental health journey and how it has been effecting her family life but we soon have this morph into a mystery about Tamsin's past/present. We witness through all of their eye the good times, the bad times and also the ugly times -including 2 deaths or were they murders. I think that I am going to have to try Charlotte Stevenson's other work to see if it is her characters, world-building or her writing style which draws me in and keeps me turning the page.

This turned out to be something other than what I thought it was going to be. It took me ages to get into the story however once I hit page 100 and the action started I couldn't put it down. The author knows how to write dynamic characters and actions scenes which blend in the right way to the environment that they are in. I did not expect the explosive ending and the unexpected romance which appeared between two unsuspecting characters. This has made me want more from the author whether this be a follow up novel or even a back story prequel for the female main character and how she was in the location at the beginning of the book.

This had an interesting concept and reminded me of the Articles Of Faith Duology by David Wragg. It has similar banter between the complex characters which adds to the atmosphere of the nature of the story. I liked the characters and was invested in the character arcs and interactions between them and want to be able to go back and re-read book one and then this one again to see what I have missed. The world was an interesting world being that it has been set in a futuristic version of the USA and Canada. Yes it is set approx. 700 years in the future some of the values and lifestyles of the characters is very Roman in nature. I also wonder is this the end of the story or is there more to come .....

I have definitely found that I love a good romance and this was exactly they kind that I like. While reading this it felt as if I was reading about friends and reliving a month in their lives. I enjoyed the plot line for this one where the main character gives up her dream to be able to help others realise theirs at the expense of missing out on hers. We see all of the decisions she has to make to sacrifice her dream to be able to do everything that she does for Family, Friends and the Love Interest. The writing style in this was exactly the best one for this story and the author has done a fantastic job at making the characters believable and relatable. I can not wait to see where this series goes in the future.

I loved this book and as a fan of Scottish folklore and mythology. I loved the lyrical writing style which lent itself to the story that the author portrayed. I loved our main character and how we basically followed him through life and his losses. The main storyline is of a treasure hunt and finding out the meaning behind some of the rhymes and song from the highlands. I am now going to look into some of the other works by this author as I think he could become a favourite.

I am a sucker for Human and Fae relationships lol. To begin with I didn't know what was going on however found the first 1/4 of the book building the world and then we then got more about the characters. I loved the way that we were with the character as she began to get her memories back and realised that she had been 'forced' to go to the Fae realm. I love a good forbidden love story where the human character should not love the Fae prince however she does even with everything that she has been put through.

This was a heartbreaking and very moving story which had me going through all of the emotions. This is set in 3 timelines which all intertwine together to tell the story of a Doctor and Nurses who saved babies in WW2. I loved the deep and well thought out characters who all had their own individual story arc and developed to a point where I need to see what happens after this story ends. I enjoyed the writing style but that could be because I am a sucker for Historical Fiction.

OMFG This was amazing, being from the UK I knew some of the suffragette story from here, however I did not know what our American women went through. This was such a moving audiobook to listen to and had me in tears at the Jail scenes. These had me thinking that they gave up so much and put up with so much so that I could have the rights that I have.
I want to go and see this on the stage.

I devoured this .... and my it was Dark and the spice levels were so good. We follow Amanda and start the story when she is running from an abusive relationship and she becomes trapped by Connor. This is one of those plot lines which is disturbing to describe however it was so good to read and can not wait to see what happens in The Safehouse (the sequel). I believe the characters and the way that the relationships develop the way they do but man are they amazing.
