Team Hort

I enjoyed this book more than the last one, this series really makes you question good and evil and how stories are interpreted, what everyone knows may not always be the truth, decisions may not be quite so black and white. Agatha and Tedros find that Happily ever afters take work, Sophie learns you can't simply force your life to go the way you want it to. We learn more about the past in this book  which I really enjoyed and I cant wait to see if some of these revelations effect the story to come.
I would also like to add that I adore Hort and he deserves a story of his own.

My favorite book as a child and still a good book even as an adult. This book is perfect, its just the right length for a bedtime story for a child, it has characters that it is easy to do the voices for, it has a few repeating phrases that children love to follow, it has wonderful artwork and a nice story, what more could you want?

Even better than the movie

I have watched the movie adaptation many times and had no idea it was based on a book, it was only after I read the secret garden and this came up as another of the authors works I realised it existed. I am so glad I did, this book is incredible, full of imagination and wonders, it makes you feel like a child again with the belief that anything is possible, it is well written and not a difficult read, though some of the names might be difficult for some children. As with some of the servants in the secret garden Becky's (the scullery maid's) accent is written phonetically so it is easy to do the voices if you are reading or loud. Overall an excellent book for adults and children who have a good levelof comprehension.

The worst book I've read possibly ever

Firstly, this book feels far longer than it actaully is thanks to the endless descriptives and repetitiveness the author uses, the story itself is miserable, literally every human in this story seemed miserable, if one person had been nice to the monster it could have changed everything.
Honestly the only part of this story that I partly enjoyed was where the monster told his story, this part was far more concise, the rest of the book seemed to be comprised of sentences that had been made as long and arduous as was physically possible.
I have read books from this era before and have read books five times the length of this one, neither of which were half as tedious.
I would not reccomend this book to anyone

I liked this book however it did at times seem to drag on a little long and Tedros needs to get over his issues. Other than that, excellent story, wish we had more of Hort as he is amazing, huge cliffhanger type ending, glad the next book is already out

oh this book made me laugh, cry in despair, curse the author and cry happy tears. so many emotions, I finally got the ending I had been rooting for and I am sure most people who will read this will get their desiered ending too. There isn't much I can say without giving anything away other than that sometimes to get the ending thats needed a lot of sacrifices have to be made.

I enjoyed this far more than the original twilight book, you get to know the characters so much better and Edward is far more interestingthan Bella, while it's not without its issues I found the story from Edward's point of view far less uncomfortable. If you enjoyed twilight you should read this, if you didn't probhably don't bother, if you haven't read twilight you could totally start with this one though.

I loved this story so much, I had already read the first book in the san andreas shifters series before I read this book which meant I knew the ending, this in no way deminished the book however. It was so sweet and only made me like the characters more.

I was absoloutly obsessed with this book, a story of time travel, mystery, betrayal and love. Once I had started reading I simply couldn't put it down. The story is nicely paced and even the background characters aren't just one sided entities simply used to fill space, they feel real which I think is part of the reason the world itself feels so real. I would highly reccomend this book.
