This extra time with Quinn and Janie is EVERYTHING. If Reid ever decided to write an entire book for this series just about the events of the bachelorette weekend in Vegas, I'd be the first one buying it. Absolutely hilarious stuff.

This delicious sequel to Neanderthal Meets Human takes us from the proposal to the wedding and all of the stress and obstacles--both real and fabricated--in between.

And, oh what a perfect Quinn and Janie proposal it is--funny and tender and steamy. Honestly, I was thinking, "How can it get better than this?" And that was just the beginning.

The planning. The detour in the planning. The bachelorette weekend. (Seriously, that part had me actually hooting and cackling.) The wedding. The wow moment. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As per usual, Penny Reid manages to create a funny, heartfelt, emotional, intelligent journey for her characters. If you have read Neanderthal Meets Human and have fallen in love with Quinn, Janie, and the rest of the Knitting in the City crew, make sure to pick this one up.

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed how Jennifer Grace captures Janie's quirkiness and cadencing. I enjoyed Sebastian York as Quinn but didn't always love his voices for the female characters. It's definitely a fun escape on audio. Just make sure you don't mind laughing out loud around others when you pop those earbuds in.

fter reading Neaderthal Seek Human, I went right into this one. It’s takes place right after the first book but had spoilers for the second. So it might be best to read it after the second book but that’s completely up to you. This one was a fun edition to Janie and Quinn’s story and is all about their wedding. One of my favorite scenes has to be Vegas. It was so comical and had me laughing. Throughout the book it’s not all happy and rainbows though. They’ve got things to deal with that help them grow. Overall a good side story to the Knitting in the City series.

I don’t think that there will ever be a Penny Reid book that I will not fall in love with. Each time I finish one I always think, “This was the best. The cutest characters, the best love, the best everything,” and this book was just that.

This book is a continuation of Neanderthal Seeks Human and our two wonderful characters Janie and Quinn are about to embark on a lifetime with each other, as soon as Quinn pops the question. But first there are certain hurdles that they must overcome; the question needs to be asked, the family needs to be informed, the wedding needs to be planned, and pasts need to be unveiled and forgiving and while conquering these hurdles, hilarity ensues.

There were many things that I just adored about this book. Again, the characters Janie and Quinn were amazing. The supporting characters couldn’t get any better and the laughs were unstoppable. I did feel as if Janie became a little more human in this book. Instead of constantly spitting out tidbits of knowledge nervously, she tried to hold her tongue (granted, I loved her tidbits of knowledge so I never minded the verbal outbursts.) I also loved how Reid whipped up their love so perfectly. Janie made Quinn want to be a better person and Quinn opened Janie’s mind to be a little more human-ish.

I also loved that this book was written in dual POV. Not only did you get to see inside of Janie’s crazy mind but also Quinn’s and you get to read the love that Quinn has for Janie that may not be verbally exposed. Example:

“His expression softened and his eyes turned dreamy and adoring as they moved over my features. Then he leaned forward and whispered, ‘Whatever you want, Kitten. Whatever you want is yours.’”
Seriously? How am I ever supposed to find a guy that is ever like Quinn?

I am extremely excited about reading the rest of the series; especially Nico and Elizabeth.

Penny Reid = always brilliant

Loved this one about how they get married. Her quirks are still really funny and the way they play off each other is super sweet:)

We follow Janie and Quinn on the road to getting hitched.

This definitely no novella, it's a full-length novel and I'm glad it is because Quinn's personality comes out so much more. We get to see more sides to him and the people he chooses to associate with. I loved the dynamic between them all and this weird group of chaotic individuals that both Janie and Quinn band together.

My heart went out for Janie because she starts this journey with the intention of making sure Quinn's family becomes whole again but what she ends up finding is a family herself. She has to deal with her father and sister, bringing forward some ugly truths but by doing so she finds out that family is who you make it.

I'm excited to get around to another couple and see where the world of Penny Reid's mind stretches to.
