short little novella with creepy vibes. I liked the plot and the short chapters added to the suspense of the story. If you're a Frieda fan, you'll love this.
Wow, what a ride! This book had everything you could possibly want. It had romance, spice, action, mystery, and suspense.
I loved our main character, Naeve. She was a total badass. Some of her fighting scenes were very gory, but I loved how strong she was after everything she went through in this book.
Kaan was another great character. He was nothing like I was expecting a 'tyrant' king to be, especially with his brothers being who they were. He was such a warm-hearted and genuine character that I got a bit emotional when he laid his heart out on the line.
I liked Pyrok and thought he was a fun side character, and I loved the dragons!
The world building was exceptional, I loved how they communicated through parchment larks, the runes, and magic that did all different aspects, e.g, healing, hiding places. I also loved the songs for the different creators as well, such a unique story.
I hated Zharos with a passion! (Just to put it out there.)
If you want a story with dragons, romance, action, and great world building, then check this one out!
The first part of this book is hard to read due to the topics discussed, but as the story went on, I really enjoyed it. There were parts where this book read as if I were watching a documentary, and some of the facts went over my head, but the gist of the story itself was really quite wholesome. The transplant changing his personality was very interestng to me as I had a kidney transplant myself and have noticed changes in tastes (e.g I used to love tea now I only drink coffee, and I used to be able to eat spicy things but now I can't) so it was very cool to read about Jim's changes. I also found the Jewish facts about their customs and religion interesting too and I really liked how Edwin became friends with Jim in the end.
I'd like to thank Cranthorpe Millner for the opportunity to share my thoughts on this upcoming book. I'm really grateful.
If you like All That's Left In The World duology by Erik J Brown or Wranglestone duology by Darren Charlton, you'll love this book!
This book features a boy called Zach, who is holed up for a year in a deserted city. He is a very knowledgeable tinkerer and has booby traps and his own vegetation patch on the go. When Aiden, who has been put on a mission to deliver some vials to seattle, comes to Zachs town, and they end up meeting, it's not long before they start forming a bond.
There's ups and downs throughout the whole story, a group out to get them and the apocalypse basically making their jour ey very hard going. But.. they do meet some amazing and nice people along the way who make up for some of the sad scenes that this book takes you through.
I honestly laughed, teared up, and kept cheering these 2 characters on so much whilst I read this book. It's definitely one to read if you liked the formentioned duologys above!
What a weird story. I thought it was good how it was told from the little girls point of view, but I was quite underwhelmed by the ending. I really thought something big was going to happen, and it didn't. I felt like I read the whole story thinking it's going to have a godsmacking end, and it was like they all just gave in. I did like how strong/tough the grandma and bela were in dealing with the entity. I didn't think much of the mom in this at all, I did, however, feel sorry for the daddo.
This book had me laughing out loud, had me angry, and sometimes I was turning the page so quickly I was afraid I'd rip them just to find out what would happen next.
This book is so addictive and gripping, and I was unable to put it down.
Eve was so down to earth and relatable, and Oliver was your typical bad boy billionaire, but by the end, he was such a sweetheart.
My favourite character was by far, Nora, she is an unforgettable character and her mouth is just a delight 😳😂
I honestly loved this book so much that I can't wait to start The End Crowns All!
I loved how badass Persephone is in this book. She came into herself and her power as the book went on, and it was such a good plot.
I loved the banter between her and Hades and just how sweet Hades was in this retelling. I prefer this Hades to other books I've read, that's for sure!
The plot was so intriguing, and I was engrossed. It didn't take me too long to read this book, even if it was a chunk. I just really fell in love with all the characters (except Zeus). I liked how Persephone made friends with Styx and how she was also besties with Hades. It made it so much more fun.
It made me laugh a lot, but I was also annoyed in parts with how people expected Persophone to just fall into her 'place.' I'm so glad she didn't!
A great short read festuring The Skirrid Inn. A fun story with some really good characters. I hated Judge Jefferys, but I liked Fanny, Willow, and Emlyn. I liked that Emlyn stood up for himself as well against the bullies. Great book!
