It was almost a 5 stars, but the repetitions made me feel like their was some kind of lack of trust for the reader, where nothing warranted it. I'll remember the exact word you used a few pages ago. It didn't feel like it added to the rhythm of the story, nor that it did anything to evoke the state of mind of the character. It was just a little annoying.
Otherwise the story is good, the world building is great (I even wanted more of it a little tbh).
There were times where I felt like some stuff could have been cut out to make space for more lore or backstories. But all in all I had fun and I'm considering stealing some stuff for hypothetical DnD campaigns.

I mean, it's "readable" in the page turning way, for sure, as Quinn is good at that.
But ew, I hate Colin and his anger. It could have been so much better without that. The only times he's decent, he falls a little flat. He's not well built as a character, and I feel like the story suffers greatly from it. It's a shame because I like Penelope and I was expecting a better story for her.
Unless you're in a Korean drama, I don't want to see a male lead squeezing the arm of the girl, even less so if it's in anger.

It was very middle of the road. It felt a bit like an "in between" book, and it seems like most Bosch books in the series at this point end on a unsatisfactory note. There's an heaviness that gets a little tiring, that wasn't always there even if things were sometimes morally gray.
I don't quite remember if I've read this one before, but I know I'm getting into the numbers where I stopped the Connelly series back then. I'm excited for the unknown, but I'd like just a tiny bit more hope I guess, or something nice in the background overarching story of Bosch and his social life. Anyway.

It was better than most of the earlier published adventure modules I've read so far. Yes, it's absolutely OP and some of the "puzzle" are not really puzzle at all but just lucky guess you can hope to make, and than hope the dices don't kill you. I'm happy to have read it, and I don't think I'lll use any part of it as inspiration tbh

Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen

Not the best Austen I've read, though I appreciated how the start of the (way too long) intro explained the context of how the story was written and the publishing obstacles it faced.
Even though it's was published posthumously, it was probably Austen's earliest work. It shows. She has a more masterful grasp on her art in her other books imo.
I did like the main character however, and I liked the whole Thorpe family drama as well.

The worldbuilding was fantastic. I was a bit "meh" about the ending. Also felt like the story was a little rushed around 3/4 of it. Maybe it need more space to take its time.

[I'm getting back into webcomics this year, but I don't want it to skew my stats too much, so I'm using first volume of published edition to stand for the whole series]
I really enjoyed this story. I would have liked if it was a little longer, and just as the painter, I wanted more of Jeongwha Song. The ending left me hungry for more, which can be a good thing, but in this case it felt a little unsatisfactory.
The style of the illustrations are different from what I'm used to in korean webcomic, but I like this kind of more realistic, less.cartoony style sometimes. Some of the panels and portraits were very beautiful.

Because of the last two volume (6 and 7), this one is a little less impactful. But boy oh boy did I sobbed while reading 4 and 5!
Sure, some will say they wished the message was a little different, and I get it. But considering it's a story that take place in Japan, I understand why it is how it is.
